IHOP — Restaurant in Memphis

So my friend and i went to IHOP at around 1:15 am, and there were only about 10 customers in there at the time so you would think it wouldn't take 20 minutes to bring out 2 breakfast samplers, with scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns and sausage links, we could have let that slide except for the fact our waitress Janelle or whatever her name was brings out the plates with everything expect the pancakes....the reason being is they were supposed to be plain but the cook put strawberries on them...ok, why would you even bring the food out if the order is not complete and correct, so then another 10 minutes go by and she comes back still with no pancakes because this time the cook supposedly put whip cream on them....now keep in mind it was only a total of 4 PLAIN pancakes ...another 10 minutes go by and we finally get the pancakes after eating the other part of the meal and of course they were half done....so of course we didn't see her expect for when we were leaving (i guess she was expecting a tip) and she asked if we were satisfied with the meal ??....okay....you clearly knew we weren't and when we answered no , all you could do is say sorry, but still wanted to charge full price for the meal!! We recently moved back into the area and haven’t been to this location in over a decade. We have attempted to go here twice since moving and they’ve been quite the experiences. The first time going back here was ok, but they didn’t tell us the credit card system was down until they brought us the check. Not a big deal as they had a manual machine. However, the last (and I do mean the last) time we went, they took our order (sampler, 2x2x2, and those pancake tacos and brought everything but the tacos. They didn’t give us silverware so we went to the server’s station and got some ourselves because after he brought our order, we didn’t see him for 20 minutes. I unwrapped my silverware to eat what HAD been brought and the utensils were dirty. After 20 minutes, as we’re finishing the food that was brought, the server brings the rest of our food. We finish eating and are sitting there for 10-15 minutes. The server then brings our check and disappears. After waiting a few minutes for him to return so we could pay, we spent another 15-20 minutes struggling to get the IHOP app to load so we could pay our check and leave. It was busy, but I wouldn’t say it was packed. There were quite a few empty tables. Terrible experience. We won’t...

I have never encountered a ruder employees in my life. I went in to pick up a to go order that was supposed to be ready. I then proceeded to wait for 40mins. I asked for an update on my order 3 separate times and the staff said they would and then walked away from me and never came back. I saw 5 different groups getup and walk out of the restaurant while waiting for my order and they were all because of the way the servers were talking to them. They told a group that had a special needs child with them that they couldn't sit at the table they wanted which would have been convent for the child's wheelchair. Instead they shoved them in a packed corner and the group simply got up and left. When I asked about my order for the final time and said I would just cancel it if it was going to be another 20 or 30mins the staff simply said 'good' and walked away. The restaurant wasn't even busy (only like half the tables sat) and yet you would have thought it was packed to the gills by how frantic and rude the stafg were being. I worked in restaurants for 15 years and have never seen a more shameful and incompetent display than what I saw here today. Frankly the staff should be ashamed...
