Pretty Girls Get Waxed — Attraction in Memphis

I am new to the area and I started my wax journey in our last location and fell in love with the results so I wanted to keep it up after moving to TN. I came here after seeing all the 5 star reviews. They get 5 stars because they tell people to leave a 5 star review for a discount on their next wax. Brazilians are a very intimate service and should be handled with care. I felt rushed through from start to finish. It feels like a factory assembly line for waxing. I got home and I still had a few hairs I had to pluck, my previous waxer did this as part of the service. I'm paying for my hair to be removed...I want it all removed. In addition there was no prep or hygiene wipes offered to freshen up, no baby powder/corn starch, and no post wax clean up either. In fact I got home and found leftover wax on me, my underwear, and I have bruising. I wish I noticed this before I left my waxer a generous tip. I will not be returning and I think the place needs to have honest feedback to improve because bribing ppl for 5 star reviews isn't going to help you grow or improve as a business. Not for me and doesn't hold a candle to my waxer back in Virginia. You can be efficient and quick without sacrificing care of your client.

In addition they overbook the waxers which is why they feel rushed to get you out the door. My wax was at 11:30 and they weren't ready they had 2 before me. Then after me she had another client to tend to immediately. Stop booking so close together. The care for your clients is suffering.

Also I was booked for a future appointment that I wasn't asked about nor did I confirm. What if I'm not available on that day? Or how about I just don't want to come back because I hated my experience there? Don't book future appointments without...

So, I thought about this before I made this review. I got my first ever wax here. The experience was soooo nice, that I vowed to never go any other place. That was about 2 years ago. And since then, things have changed tremendously. The quality of service is not the same at all. The will keep 5 stars because they offer $5 off any service for a 5 star review. So thats that part. The turnaround on waxers is mind blowing. You will never get the same person. The atmosphere has changed as well. The energy was always so warm and welcoming. The last couple of times I’ve visited, it’s been off. Today included. I double checked the business hours before I came (today is Sunday). It said they open at 8am. I got there at 1035 and the receptionist let me in to tell me that they were closed and on break until 11. I was confused because first, yall have to CLOSE to take a break?? Secondly, yall just opened at 8am and by 10am you’re on break??? I waited outside til 11. When I finally got inside, it took about 5minutes to check me in. I wasn’t offered the normal “wax shot” before services. Not the first time it has happened. Then the waxer—— she was super sweet and kind. But I’m not sure if they just train people to wax or if they’ve actually been to school for esthetics. The wax was hot! And I mean hot that I was trying to fan it and blow it 😂. Once I stood up (after she was finished) I had wax all over me. Of course I can’t post the pics. And she told me she was done!! I try not to leave negative reviews, but I’ve been a loyal customer for over a year and feel it’s important to share how things have changed. The quality of service has really gone downhill. All of the experienced waxers—who used to complete a Brazilian in about 15 minutes are no longer there, and the efficiency just isn’t the same.

My June visit there was a positive & friendly manager there that was observing. She asked permission to be in the room with my waxer in training. Today they did not ask, and it feels awkward to have someone starring at your unclothed body without even saying hello. Not sure if it was the same woman as last month but the vibes felt completely different. The same area of skin should not be waxed over 4 times.. 😅

On top of that, I’ve had to wait past my scheduled appointment time during my last few visits. Today, I was there for a total of 45 minutes between waiting and paying. I also specifically asked not to be rebooked because I needed to check my schedule, only to get in the car and immediately receive a rebooking email—this has happened several times and it’s very frustrating.

I truly hope they get the girls trained appropriately & things improve, because this used to be my go-to spot. Raising prices and lowering quality is...
