We found this place on Navigator, as it close by a play. We liked the menu and went for dinner. To repeat, we had scouted the menu but knew nothing else. It was a surprise to find ourselves ordering at the counter with nothing to go by but large pictures of food and names of the dish (no listing if what is included and no prices!) it was awkward and would be very hard during busy times, as you have to walk the length of the counter to see the options, and notice that there are “side” dishes literally on the side of the room. All drinks, including water, come from a side cooler box (No, yiu can’t order tap water and not pay for it. You have to buy a bottle ) We ordered, noting that nothing was written down, nor did they charge us. They told us to sit down and wait and it was not a long wait. The plates were piled high and most of the food was tasty (with the exception of the vegetarian plate, which was greasy and largely undefined food). Lentil soup was a highlight. Pita bread was “meh.” The spinach pie was mostly a hollow shell with a little boiled spinach inside (if you expected spanakopita, as I did, you were disappointed). Then the reckoning at the cash register, where our party of four each “told what they got” and were given a final price, so if you have multiple items, you still don’t know the price. Two plates (including the meh veg) plus soup ran $40 and change. That’s near 2X what I would have considered a fair price. I now understand why they have you eat before charging you. We won’t be back.
