RiverWalk on the Falls Apartments — Attraction in Menomonee Falls

My husband and I were looking for a higher-end apartment after having sold our home of almost 30 years in Grafton. I'm retired, but he's still working -- so we wanted something that had both a nice community ambiance and "walkable" vibe to it, as well as a location with a better distance from/highway access to my husband's Milwaukee-area clients. The moment I walked into RiverWalk on the Falls, I knew "this was it!" I called my husband and said he needed to come over and look at this place. He immediately felt the same way. We did look at about 7 places total in the Milwaukee-metro area, all of which had a similar menu of upscale amenities -- BUT -- we came back to the RiverWalk. What we loved then about the RiverWalk location, and still do, was that it is nestled in the midst of Menomonee Falls' well-maintained historic district which is filled with retail, services, and beautiful flowers and landscaping. The city's Village Park (summer Music in the Park, Farmer's Market, Beer Garden etc.) is just 3 blocks away. Since we only recently moved in, we didn't use RiverWalk's pool or community room too much this year, but we appreciate how both are integrated into the building footprint; although my husband has already used the beautiful community room (adjacent to the pool) for several business meetings. The decor and structure of the RiverWalk tastefully incorporates the historic F&M Bank which used to stand here. We even have own little ArtSpace with rotating Artists in Residence. The concierges in the office are friendly and helpful and really do go out of their way to accommodate requests if at all possible. The complex has both a dedicated cleaner and a maintenance manager who we see busy working around the building every day. The tenants (our new neighbors :) are an eclectic group of people: Recently retired, seniors, young couples with and without children, and working couples and singles -- all of a variety of ages and ethnicities. This is a dog-friendly complex, with many dogs out and about every day with their owners; plus we have a little doggy washing station in the basement. I walk our dog along the beautiful and serene, well-maintained riverwalk which borders Mill Pond and the waterfall and is directly adjacent to the RiverWalk. I often continue my walk across Main Street along the paved village walk into the woods. Clearly, based on the number of people we see out in the evening, this is considered a safe area. We've already found our favorite Friday Fish Fry joint (1 1/2 blocks away), Irish Bar (across the street), and a new salon (also across the street). We own a home in Arizona and also love to travel, and while we do plan on being in Wisconsin quite a bit no matter what the season, we love being able to just "lock and leave" and not worry about our new "home" here. Living at Riverwalk:

Where do I begin? As soon as you walk into the lobby you are struck with AMAZING! You feel like you are walking into a high end, yet comfortable setting. Then you are greeted by the wonderful staff that works there. They are gracious, accommodating, and treat you like family. As you get the tour, you walk into the clubhouse and you are blown away with the creative genius who designed the sitting area(s) & artwork. The kitchen has all the bells and whistles to include complimentary coffee, cappuccinos, espressos, or hot chocolate. Knowing that this is available to reserve for private parties is a bonus to treat your family & friends to this experience.

Then you have the units. 1, 2 and 3 bedrooms. I have had the luxury of residing in a 1 and a 2 bedroom. I have to say the attention to detail is the same in the units, the only differences are the square footage. Having your own washer/dryer unit, your own storage unit, underground parking, a fitness center, art studio, and how can you forget the in-ground pool at this Riverwalk setting? Watching and hearing the waterfall in the background, walking the trails, and seeing wildlife is such a treat. The residents here get together for summer nights of fun, and other seasonal fun. Riverwalk treated their residents to a wonderful holiday celebration, and complimentary yoga classes held once per month. Riverwalk also accommodates fur babies, which is also a treat when you see residents walking their pets.

When my family and friends come over to visit, they are amazed with the amenities and the location. To walk across the street, or in the Village – you have an array of choices of restaurants, boutiques, pubs, and a load of other options. Watching the Christmas parade from my balcony was a treat, and celebrating St. Patrick’s Day at AJ’s is a fun time! I have made some wonderful friendships here with not only the residents, but with the management. I also have to add that if anything goes amiss in your unit, maintenance is there to help in a timely fashion. I have no regrets moving into this wonderful complex, and will never forget my experience here. I’m confident you would be...

“I want to take a moment to share my gratitude for your quick thinking last night when the power went out, so we had no access to the elevator. Having the ability to lay down coming straight from the hospital with a new hip, was extremely helpful. What’s more is we had access to ice for cold therapy and bottled water which I needed to take with all the medication. I think the power finally came on around 10 PM, so as a result of your generosity I was able to sleep or rest comfortably in the model apartment for a solid five hours!”
