For the area, I would consider this a great family arcade. The Garcade operates off of a wristband system- for a flat rate, it's all you can play all day. For kids, wristbands are $15 and for adults, wristbands are $20. The establishment is very upfront about allowing you to freely enter and exit with the wristband all day, which sounds nice in theory, but is honestly just a necessity; they don't serve food or drinks here, so you need to go out anytime you want something to eat. They have a great selection of pinball machines, a few racers, a few standing shooting games, some Japanese music machines (like DDR, for example), and a number of classics like Pac-Man, Dig-Dug, Tekken, Pole Position, etc. They also have some foosball machines and one or two oddball fun machines, like Guitar Hero. To be expected, a few machines were down from time to time, but notably, this place had extremely low downtime. Within 30 seconds of a machine going down, there was someone getting it back up and running, and there were zero dead machines sitting on the floor/out of service, which blows my mind. As a kid, this place would've kept me entertained for at least 3-4 hours, and would be of great value. However, it is not without it's flaws. Outside of not offering food and drink (and, as an adult, know that there is no bar), this isn't exactly a one stop shop, play all day kind of experience. There also aren't enough machines for the populace from my experience; I went with my spouse and some friends off of recommendation on a night where the town was dead, and this place was still crawling with enough kids that we had to step away from machines every round and didn't get to the chance to play some of the machines we wanted. Also notably, the machine options we fairly limited. There were very, very few options for games that supported more than 2 players, and there were no booth machines or enclosed experience if that's your thing (shooters with a booth, star wars pod machines, etc.). As adults looking to do some arcade gaming, we paid $20/person and really only got about an hour and a half of play out of this place; we probably would've saved money on quarters, but it was nice to know the cost upfront and not have to run and grab some coin rolls. All in all, in place fits the bill for a family arcade. The kids will think it's great, you'll have enough pinball and foosball options to keep you entertained for the duration (but not skeeball, pool, or other similar time killing, non-cabinet games), and you won't break the bank when the kiddos want to play another round. If you're willing to step out for a meal and come back a for a few more hours, you'll have a budget day trip that's better than the Mineshaft. As an adult, or as a group looking to play with 3-4 people, you may want to look at other options that have...

You couldn't fathom the secret treasure inside from the view of the building from the outside. Once you step foot into The Garcade you cannot help but to feel like you've traveled back in time! I was greeted immediately with a smile and a welcome. While inside I felt reminiscent of my childhood and I couldn't have gotten this from anywere else. Who knew a place like this even existed? The women working there answered all my questions and being a mom of 3, I had several. They were willing to help me everytime and even ended up having some personal conversation which always makes a place for me even better in quality. They do not have a kitchen or food that is made there but they do have snacks and drinks and offer a seating area were you can sit and enjoy food with your family or friends! They also partner up with Domino's a couple stores down and are EXTREMELY ACCOMIDATING. So you can order from Domino's menu right there with front desk and it comes so fast. Yes, it is a little pricey when taking an entire family but there's a discount for kids12 and you will not have half as much fun as here. Everything literally was so clean. I can say I was very impressed by the cleanliness of this place! The hard thing to find nowadays is fun that the entire fam can enjoy. My fam range is 33, 12, 9 and 6 and we were all having a blast! I can tell you the one bad thing about this place... Is that we have to leave! 😆 I truly felt treated like a friend and am excited to say that my family and I have found a new outlet to enjoy together. We will be back many more times and cannot wait to go again! Thanks Garcade 😊 best Sunday we have...
Read moreWent there recently for the first time with family. IGreat arcades and pinball machines. A good mix of a well-maintained collection of vintage and newer games including a few DDR types and Guitar Hero. We were there about 3 hours and only discovered two games with joystick / gun issues, and on both the games were still playable. All trackball games I played were perfect - lots of times trackballs are so loose it makes for crappy play. And I think there was only 1/2 of one game out of order in the entire place. Oh, and the place looks / smells / feels quite clean, which is NOT something I’ve ever said about an arcade before.
The place is very loud, which makes sense, but a few games were just too much when you were actually playing them. Super Smash TV and the newer Gauntlet (Dark Legends, I think? - it’s around the middle-ish of the arcade) were way too loud. My high-octane, sound- and thrill-loving husband never complains about anything being too loud, and he ended up with a massive headache, I believe from the Gauntlet game that we were all stupidly playing too long. So as weird as it sounds, it might behoove you to have earplugs in your pocket for the occasional need in Garcade.
Also, the bubblers were taped off / out of order. I think the air inside was really dry, and add that to us having to shout to talk, when we left we were all insanely thirsty. I didn’t realize til reading reviews today that there were options to get a soda there? Regardless, the bubblers working would’ve been really nice.
