I love this place. I signed up the day they opened 11-12-13. From a giant fitness floor, several studios for cycling, BodyPump, yoga, to a full sized basket ball court and a separate training room for personal training sessions, there is something for everyone. There are some serious gym rats pumping iron and then there are the seniors that make their daily visits a combo of working out and chatting up the other seniors. It’s super friendly to all levels of fitness, they’re always staff members around to help with any questions on machines…
They have an incredible list of free classes, quite a few paid classes for specialty training, great personal trainers with different personalities and intensity’s to fit any one looking for the right match.
And then there are the pools! There’s a dedicated indoor lap pool for serious swim workouts and people who walk or jog in the pool. Also indoors is a large hot tub, and then a good size pool that fits many purposes. With a graduated Deb, it’s perfect for fitness classes and people of different heights, swimming lessons or just family fun time. The outdoor pool is fabulous. During adult hours, which there are not enough of those, there’s usually at least one dedicated lap lane, lots of outdoor classes, including aqua Zumba. There’s a fun splash pad for kids that have the usual overflowing mushroom shower, and some giant buckets of fill with water and tip over on your head. Lots of lounge chairs and tables and chairs, high top tables and chairs, for relaxing whether you’re there for 10 minutes or the whole day.
The locker rooms are very nice there’s a men’s, women’s, and a poolside family like a room with individual rooms with showers toilets and sinks. The entire place is kept very clean, and as you walk around you will always see staff with cleaner and towels in hand keeping up on the sanitizing!
The staff is amazing whether it’s the welcoming crew at the front desk, instructors in the classes, personal trainers, or bartenders. I always highly recommend this club to any of my clients who are moving into the area and looking for a well run, clean, and extensive facility for maintaining health...

I've been a WAC member for on and off (mostly on) for about 7 years now. The majority of that time was at the Wauwatosa gym and I was always happy there. I moved about a year ago and changed to the Menomonee Falls location due to distance. I started at this location shortly after it opened and have waited for things to change, but nothing has.
The facility is very nice, plenty of cardio equipment and class space. The pool area is very nice and during the summer the outside pool is great. They added a very reliable wifi network to what seems to reach the whole building you can use. The locker room tends to be pretty clean and well kept.
Unfortunately the staff is consistently terrible. I'm so reliably met with half ass service, like this type of work is below them, or they just continue about whatever they are doing (like folding towels) and leave you standing there. It's far too common to be standing with a group of people while 1 person frantically tries to check people in/out while two others stand around in conversation or just casually walk away. Some of their trainers are also pretty rude, being aggressive and confrontational when you are on equipment they want to use with their clients.
In contrast to their cardio equipment, there is a lack of power racks. There is one in the main area which is generally camped during prime time, and a second that is conveniently placed in the 'functional group fitness' area with a sign that asks you not to use it during class - which happens to be prime time.
There also is lack of foresight in the design of the building. Specifically, in this huge building, there is 1 drinking fountain. It blows my mind every time a class lets out, or just being there during peak periods, seeing the line of people waiting to fill up their water bottles or just get a drink. Almost like a compliment to the single drinking fountain, there is 1 bathroom as well.
For what is easily one of the most expensive gyms in the area, I would expect a much better quality of...
Read moreAs others have touched on the training staff (with a couple exceptions like Tony) are extremely rude. Like they know you are using a piece of equipment and they just over take it. They try to intimidate you if you workout in the open training area and I swear they try to get in your way to push you out. This is the only gym where the trainers do not interact with the regulars that know what they are doing. I guess they haven't figured out that newbies look to the regulars for advice. Like hell I am suggesting any of these trainers. The people that go to the club are really chill and nice. Its a close group that really supports each other. The trainers arrogant and entitled attitude is often a topic of discussion. It's so strange how poorly managed this brand new club is. The bathrooms are filthy on a regular basis. I wish I could post some pics. There is extensive water damage in one of the stalls and the cheap urinal dividers are swelling due to the particle board being soaked with pee. The shower floor is filthy by 3pm. I recently moved to WI and it's crazy to think this is your best option in metro Milwaukee area. This place wouldn't be open for a year if it were on either coast. Atlas I still go there until a better...
