C-Town Sports Cave — Attraction in Mentor

The store itself was fantastic with my father being a Michigan fan in the state of Ohio it can be challenging to find stuff that not everyone has without shopping online. I used to be in all the time with my family especially around the holidays. However, one year ( I can’t remeber which year) I was trying to be thoughtful and buy my father a gift. It was a Michigan helmet light that I was purchasing for his “man cave”, the perfect Christmas gift. My dad opened it and plugged it in and I’m not sure if it was just the one I bought or what but it didn’t work. We tried different plugs around the house and still nothing. So the next day I brought it back to refund it and was hit with an attitude by the man I assume was the owner. He said “did you even try it or are you just bringing it back” very snobbish and I didn’t appreciate it at all. It was not my fault that the product didn’t work but he managed to make me feel like it was like I had broken it or something. I shouldn’t have to explain why I returned anything because I’m spending my money at your store...so I got my money back, left and never came back since. Now, I get it was the holidays and he probably had a lot going on but that is no way to treat a customer and because of this I will still never be returning. This store is a very nice and very organized store not only is it organized but you can find practically anything collectible related you may need the workers are very nice and funny all the time I go in there every week to buy a bunch of Pokémon stuff I strongly strongly recommend this place to the people say it’s overpriced you guys don’t know anything this is a collection store not a retail store like Walmart or target your not gonna expect to find the same price as those stores these are collectibles there not cheap if your broke just say it 🤷🏽‍♂️ There is nothing wrong with the workers or products at this store if you don’t like the prices then go somewhere else because any sports or collectible related gets reselled for higher price anyways that isn’t overpricing it’s getting profit how do you expect these people to buy a product and sell it for the exact same price that makes no sense you people make no sense I say go to this store everyone here very nice i will definitely...

I was in here buying things for father’s day when a CHEAP spinning shelf fell off the rack (the prong fell off) and a sign fell and broke. We took it up to the cashier show him the broken item (a small piece of glass) and he yelled at us, told us we were at fault and refused to even look at the broken shelf. I then PAID for the broken item because he was so irate about it. He was humiliating us in front of the other customers, It’s my own fault for even going to this store since I know it has such a had reputation; I will NEVER go to this store & I will continue to spread the word about what a horrible shop it is.
