Eleanor B Garfield Park — Attraction in Mentor

New playground equipment is awesome. The slides are new, one high and one fast. 6 yr old and three yr old had a blast. The climbing equipment looks safe and sturdy too. Love that there are benches all around it, and several with shade. Clean park. The tennis courts looked to be in great condition too.

**Edited to add: changed from 5 star to 2 because they did not maintain the pool during Covid and now it sits empty. No water, rusty sides, unable to open at all this year. Unsure of the reason. Possibly because of the poor condition. Might be the shortages of life guards. But it's very sad regardless of...

I recently went for the Mentor Farmers Market. It's each Friday from 2pm to 6pm during summer months. I purchased some good items. The farmers market has grown over the years. Over all Garfield park is a nice park. Good playground, nice softball/baseball fields, pond with ducks, water fall, pavilion. The major thing the city of Mentor is lacking on is a failure to open the pool on the grounds. It's a nice pool and great for south Mentor residents. However, it is not open in 2022. This is why I gave it 4 stars. If the pool were open it would be hands...

The park was great and the upgrades where nice however, there was not a single functioning water fountain and there was feces all over the bathrooms. Yes. Both men and women's. Out of the 4 stalls and 1 urinal 4 stalls had feces and the urinal was the cleanest part of the bathroom. To reiterate there is no water being dispensed from any of the water fountains we tried to tried to utilize which was 3 water fountains and one water bottle...
