I have been to The Brew Kettle a few times since they have opened. What I like: Their beer selection is decently sized with a variety of their own beers and beers from other companies. On top of that, you can get small 5oz tasters of the beers, giving you a chance to try them before committing to a full glass. The staff are all quite friendly and willing to answer what questions one may have. Every time I have gone here, it has never been busy. Food and drinks arrive quickly after ordering them. What I do not like: The food is honestly hit or miss. All of the appetizers I have tried are very good, especially the spinach artichoke dip. The mac and cheese bakes are worth the price. The sandwiches and burgers are packed full, but they are either decent or just not worth it at all. The cajun chicken pasta has good flavor, but is very spicy in my opinion. The chicken on the chicken parmaque was crispy and juicy, but the bbq sauce pasta just does not work. Overall, I do enjoy The Brew Kettle and will go back at some point.

Love the atmosphere and open dining room. Service was extremely slow though the servers were nice. I do hate the 3 percent "convenience" charge for using plastic. Will go other places that don't charge. That said the shrimp and grits was superb shrimp being done perfectly. Poutine was good but could have used more gravy and cheese. Pot pie was just ok as the biscuit topper was over done. Grilled cheese and mushroom burger as well as chicken sandwich we're all considered very good. I realize our server was training but it took much too long to take our order and then get our bill.

Tried this place again for the third time. I could care less for the local beers. But the food is very interesting and out of the box thinking. I tried the Parma-Que chicken. It was super delicious and something I didn’t think could even be thought of. But mixing BBQ with Italian dishes. I’m super glad I tried it. My fiancé tried it and she said she can’t believe she likes it too. Would definitely return and try another dish again. If you haven’t tried this place already go ahead and stop on by!

I must say first, the staff was great! Our waitress was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating...and they worked together and always helping, picking up and straightening. That being said...the food was terrible. My husband loves BBQ and ordered the Backyard platter (smoked wings, ribs and chicken) he said it looked smoked but didn’t taste like it and the sauce was ‘Ehh’. I ordered the Cajun Chicken pasta...same, the sauce was spicy hot but bland. My son ordered the Caesar Salad (his favorite) and added chicken. The dressing came in a cup (luckily because it was awful, very vinegary) asked for ranch instead. My other son ordered a cheeseburger, med/well. They charged extra for the cheese and extra for the ranch to dip his fries in. The burger was dry and tasteless. I also order 2 sides of the white cheddar Mac n cheese...the worst! Tasted like salted flour. Neither boy ate it. The worst part of this experience was the rest of the night...my husband, myself and my son were at the movies after and all of us were very uncomfortable and visiting the restrooms often. Only thing we can think of that we all shared was the Buffalo dip. Thinking back now, it came out piping hot but cold in the middle. I stirred it up and we ate it all...minus my youngest son who had none and was fine all night. All in all we enjoyed the scenery, very clean and friendly. But the food was terrible. We won’t be back. Bill...

Updated 1/17/24 Sorry to see a restaurant slim down the menu and add a convenience fee of 3%. Unfortunately menu changes like this are the beginning of the end for a lot of restaurants.

Removed all my favorites like the burrito and perch. Dishes that had two sides now just have one. Most had one included and you would pick another.

can't say I want to return soon, maybe for the beers and my wife still likes the Portobello sandwich even though they changed things not for the better but still good enough.( Use to come with her fav side the coleslaw and she could pick a 2nd, not anymore)

Would have been a 3 but it gets a 2 for the convenience 3% CC charge.

How about my convenience of saving 100% by not return, because they want to make another 3%. Limit the menu and provide less.

I have seen this at few other places but the 1st time here.

Old review...

Love the wide beer selection and enjoy getting a nice flight ordered. Couple really good dishes I like as those my wife. I go to is the burrito with a pulled pork awesome big enough for leftovers for another day. The wife loves the portobello sandwich. The coleslaw with the dill and horse radish is to die for.

Mostly good service. Just one weird time after many visits related to wanting to take a single flat nitro of the flight bill. Waitress seemed to get defensive of it and needed to get approval to take it...
