Of course, when Wal-Mart announced an early Black Friday on a week ago, most other retailers followed the lead! I learned of this news in the thick of it, I needed to exchange and return a few items at this JCP and it store was bustling at the hems by noon. I typically do not visit this store during the day because I've discovered the evening staff tend to be more customer friendly. The most unpleasant of the staff is the elderly manager named Michael. He was in rare form of rude, on last Saturday (Black Friday Weekend!); he worked one of the registers in Customer Service, where the customers (including myself) waited in a 40 minute line for their turn to be serviced. According to Michael, anything that could go wrong had, all morning and he was not performing well under the obvious pressure.
I, 99% retain all my receipts from any purchase for months, sometimes, a year or two, but I could locate a receipt for two toddler dresses. However, JCP has a method to look up customer receipts if the customer is a Rewards Member and if the salesperson remembers to ask the customer for their telephone number to link the account to the purchase. Or if a bank card or credit card was used to execute the purchase. At the onset, I told Michael, that I made the purchase in the early spring. He went to June, then asks me, could it be May and I again respond, "It was early spring!" Michael, getting more and more anxious, anyone looking on, could tell. He wanted to hurry to get to the next customers instead of fully assisting me. I told him not to worry with it, I would drive an hour to JCP in Fairlawn, Ohio...where staff would kindly assist me. He got offended and said, "I am trying to help you." I said nothing as I could tell he was not one who worked well with crowds and under pressure.
It will not be long before this location is permanently closed as other locations have closed, so the executive office apparently just welcomes anyone who is willing to work in the pandemic. Good customer service is slowly becoming a...
Read moreI will never recommend or frequent the salon ever again. During the consultation, the technician talked me out of what I wanted done, stating it would be extremely high maintenance and that I would have to come in every 4 weeks. The price when booking appointment online stated $130. She charged me over $225 and also charged me for Olaplex. I never REQUESTED that as it is an expensive ADD ON. She was supposed to make my hair darker (brown) than my natural hair color and then add caramel highlights. The lights in the salon CLEARLY make a huge difference because when she was done, I thought it looked great, paid my bill even though I was annoyed at certain aspects, bought products, and left her a GENEROUS tip. Fast foward to walking out into the natural light...I look like a cross between Ronald McDonald and a naval orange. Beyond embarrassed! My base hair is now lighter than my natural color was to begin with and the highlights are brass and copper. When it came time to rinse the color out and put in toner, she left my neck hanging over the edge of the hard shampoo bowl for over 25 minutes which has now earned me a trip to the doctor for a pinched nerve. The pain now radiates from my neck through the shoulder blades and into the upper arm. Living on Tylenol is wonderful!!! This was a terrible experience that cost me HUNDREDS of dollars. I thought it would be cool to treat myself to something nice for a change. Wow was that a mistake. ...
Read moreVisited the optical department. There was only one person available to wait on the customers. I selected 3 pairs of frames and sat down with the technician. A female and a child came in and she greeted them in a friendly manner. Meanwhile, her attitude towards me was less than friendly. She asked if she could be excused for a moment. I said sure thinking she would just answer a quick question for the other customer. She commenced to waiting on that person for a period of time while I sat and waited. It was unprofessional to wait on someone who entered the store after us. My eyes are in are in bad shape. I planned on purchasing 2 pairs of regular eyeglasses and a pair of sunglasses. My wife planned on purchasing a pair of regular eyeglasses and a pair of sunglasses. We left the store after receiving no satisfaction after complaining yo the manager. Unbeknownst to us these people did us a favor. We went to America's Best where we received better service and purchased a better quality product at a comfortable price. That poor service cost Penny optical 5 pairs of...
