Negative 5 stars for service and quality of food. To start we had to plead with the management to give us a separate hibachi due to food allergies, when seated we ordered the Red Snapper and Salmon hibachi. The chef came out and gave us a less than enthusiastic showing quickly rushing through the process because he has done it hundreds of times. The rice was blah mush served with a hint of garlic and a splash of soy sauce and the vegetables were bland with no seasoning at all.
For the main dish was the Salmon and Red Snapper, we were excited to try this hoping it had more to offer than the basic rice and veggies. Well what a waste of time, the fish was spoiled and slimey and tasted foul. We didn't even have to do more than take a small sample to realize they had tried to cook us spoiled fish and pass it off as gourmet hibachi. When we realized this we called over or waitress and let her know. She tried to correct this by taking it to management. As several other reviews will reveal, this restaurant suffers heavily in regards to customer service.
Her manager said she took care of it by taking off the fish. Well she still tried to charge us al a carte for the soup, salad, rice and veggies which was equal to the same price as the fish. Wow. When asked about this she said that she charged us what we ate. We didn't eat any of this except the soup which we told them we would gladly pay for. After about 30 minutes of back and forth she finally removed everything except the soup. When matters took a turn for the worse was when we presented our Christmas gift Groupon.
The Groupon complaints on Fuji alone should restrict them from participating in any further offers. Their "Fine Print" is really clear and so is the fact that if the Groupon shall not be accepted it is at minimum worth the value paid at all times at the restaurant. In this case $13. The restaurant refused to accept it for any value. To save you the reader some time and me the writer some time here is the bottom line. This is a dirty, shady restaurant that immediately outside of the front door has a hand written sign posted that says now hiring cooks, waiters, managements and bus positions. This should serve as notice enough that they cannot keep good staff.
Long story short we should have walked out. This was supposed to be a peaceful family dinner with my wife and kids. After all of the go around with management and getting nowhere my wife pleaded with me to just pay. I reluctantly did and wrote on the bill "forced to pay without resolution". Needless to say I have already called my credit card company to dispute the charge. Save your money, I'd write more but I'm going to go throw up now from the...
Read moreThis rating is based on my recent visit on Tuesday 4/8/2025. I have been to this restaurant 3 times and never had a bad experience either with the staff or the quality of the food, that is until today. We went for Hibachi and I'm on a low sodium diet and during my previous visits they have been great at accommodating my request to cook my food off to the side without sauces or salt. Today's service was very disappointing. With the exception of the young woman who showed us to our table, she was great she understood and took notes about my order which was a simple request I have made before with no issues. But after that the service was terrible. I wasn't expecting to later be embarrassed at the table in from of other customers! I simply asked for my meal to be prepared off to the side without Soy sauce, salt or teriyaki sauce. For some reason this time the chef and another staff member had issues with my request and kept trying to get me to agree for them to cook my meal in the back kitchen instead of at the table as usual. We said no, just put my portion to the side and don't add the sauces, SIMPLE! They've done it fine before. No, everyone at the table had to hear the exchanges, we even consider walking out. The chef looked aggravated, the lady kept going on and on about the details of my order. The whole table could see and hear all of this. They finally seemed to undertand, but not really. The chef was terrible, he had a terrible attitude, my steak, chicken and shrimps were overcooked and he made the mistake to add soy sauce to the rice, once again I had to say something. He yells for the other woman to bring more rice it was embarrassing. He also put sauce on my noodles, at that point I just let it go. It was incredible frustrating. A $53.00 meal shouldn't have been screwed up so badly. Only thing on my place that was done right was the rice (after the 2nd time he tried) and the Scallops. I loved this place, prior to today, everything has been great and the food amazing. I'm not sure if I will ever go back. If I do I would place my order away from the table and definitely will not want the same chef. They need to do better, I couldn't possibly be the only customer they've ever had on a low sodium diet. Specially since I've been there before with...
Read moreMy parents picked this spot. It was the 1st time being here and not being on the hibachi side but the sit down kitchen side. My experience with the hibachi entertainment was way better than the normal restaurant side I had this time, but I'm basing it off this experience since the hibachi experience was many years ago. Food: The apperizer was great with the cheese wontons, came with 6. The sauce with it was delicious. I chose the steak and scallops, and my father chose the same dish. I wanted medium while him rare. They mixed up our dishes when giving them to us while I was turned off by the rare texture my father obviously liked it after we switched dishes to what they should have been. The scallops tasted way better, but I wasn't impressed by the steak cut for the price. The sauce was great, but the vegetable to me should have been cooked more. Sauce was good. My mother got sesame chicken which looked good. Boyfriend got general Tso chicken which the sauce literally tasted the same as the sesame which was a bummer to him because he wanted that spice from the dish. Sides: the soup was sub par. The salad was refreshing. Tasted like a ginger mango dressing? But the dressing was very delicious. The most off putting part was the stickiness of the table. Got a table quickly at 5:30pm on a Saturday. Seems to get busy around 6:30pm with longer line to wait as we left at almost 7pm With 2 steak scallop dinners, 1 sesame chicken, 1 general tso, 1 appetizer, 1 beer total was $105 without tip. With my experience I don't think I'll go back, but my father...
