You know, most of the time I go into stores my expectations are very low, but I truly had a great experience today. Spencer warmly greeted me and asked what I was looking for. When I told him what I needed he took me right to where the shoes were but didn't just leave me hanging. He asked my shoe size and pulled out shoes matching what I needed. But then it got so much better! He was telling me about the shoe technologies, which was crazy cool. He then upsold me on a much nicer quality running shoe that was also on sale. Not only did he give me a great buying experience, but also a genuine human connection which sadly doesn't happen a lot anymore! I don't say this to be mean to any of the other employees, but Spencer was glowing with life and the others were obviously just there to do their job which is totally fine! At about 3:30 on August 8th. I went in the Nike outlet. I have to work 2 jobs on my feet, about 75 hours per week in order to take care of the people in my life that are unable to take care of themselves. I have to wear crappy non-slip shoes at my job, they get very dirty and are uncomfortable. Nike's are the most comfortable shoes for me to wear during the small amount of spare time i have. After talking with the sales staff in the try-on area they helped me find the best Nikes for my situation. They were also very polite and personable. It felt like they had a real interest in helping me with this particular aspect of my life as well as a genuine concern for my well-being due to the fact that i spend such long periods of time on my feet.
