As someone in the beauty industry that has been coming here for eight years and referring clients to them (high end as well); I am absolutely horrified at how my hair appointment was handled this past Tuesday. I had to go with another artist as my usual was booked up for the day. No biggie; all I wanted was a dusting focusing on keeping my length as I have been on a hair journey for years and it was finally past the breast. Along with long and short layers for dimension with the addition of curtain bangs. I came early with pictures of what I wanted and clear instructions. What I got was over three inches cut off with no short layers. When I was given the mirror to look at the back I was thrown into full body tingles. I looked at her and said I wanted a dusting to where she defensively told me layers takes off length. Duh! But why is all the length I’ve been working towards gone?!?! The definition of a dusting is a technique where a stylist removes only the damaged or split ends of hair, strand by strand, without significantly reducing the overall length. She then said she had to go grab someone to check her work and I never got an I’m sorry from her. After a few minutes my usual stylist came and saw the shock on my face. I explained what my instructions were and she said that the woman that did my cut was a newer stylist and she got scissor crazy. Also while mixing in whispered sorry’s. What does being a newer stylist have to do with anything? Does she not work there?!? She said I wouldn’t have to pay full price and told me to wait again while I sat there in still utter shock. She came back and repeated what she had already told me and said it’s a great cut and implied that maybe I wasn’t clear with my instructions. I’m a Virgo! My brain doesn’t know how to be unclear. I was ushered to the register to realize my discount was $10. At no point was I offered any kind of fix or anything. I got the just that they just wanted me to silently leave. I never saw the stylist responsible again as I’m sure she was hiding in the back waiting for me to leave. After a couple hours I began to think more clearly and am ashamed at how I let myself be treated. I sent an Instagram message to let them know how unhappy I was and got no response and then yesterday sent an email to let the owner know about the situation but I’m sure she was aware. I was trying to handle everything privately because I really did like this place. I would have called as well but they rarely answer the phone and I’m sure they wouldn’t pick up for me. I’m beyond disappointed and hope this review helps someone who would also be devastated at...
Read moreBEWARE I stopped in several days ago and made an appointment for a pedicure while shopping at Trader Joe's. I have never been to the salon. They explained to me about cancellation policy which was not a problem at the time. I had every intention of being at my appointment. It wasn't until that morning I woke up sick and unable to go to work for several days due to a virus. I called the salon first thing that morning several times explained to several different receptionist about my condition. I asked for the owner to call me which I was told he would and NEVER received a call back. (POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE) I reached out on several occasions throughout the day, but was told he was busy and once again he would call back. THAT NEVER HAPPENED. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE . The receptionist was very nice , but this is about the owner extremely poor customer service. I spent most of my day at urgent care between waiting in line and having to go back and wait additional time just to be seen. I do have a virus and I'm contagious. Apparently, the Weekend Salon DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE SAFETY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS DURING A PANDEMIC. This salon knew I was ill but was willing to take me because they wanted their money. It didn't matter if I was sick or not . For all they knew it could of been the flu or covid. This salon has expressed to me I'm being charged for a service that I never received. because I AM ILL AND HAVE A VIRUS. Be aware if you get sick you will lose all your money. This salon does not care about your well being . They are just out to make a buck any way they can. I am a decent human being that has respect for others whom I would have passed this horrible virus to . Good customer service would have been we apologize your sick, I would be more than happy to get you in after you are well and we will not charge you for your service. Sadly , I will never experience this salon due nor do I intended to due lack of professionalism on the owners part. I will pass this on to everyone I know. Too many greedy people in this world. Go somewhere that has empathy and understands...
Read moreThis "was" my go-to nail salon, despite the special and extra attention given to "certain" clients (after two years of observations). They are clean and appeared to adhere to COVID guidelines "after" the mandate, such as hand washing before dipping, which should have been required before COVID. However, things got rocky when I questioned the process of removing the old nail dip. I cannot remove the rude behavior I experienced when I questioned the removal process of old nail dip. The owner was so mad at me and shared his anger. He stated, and I quote, "don't question my work in the presents of his clients"! What was I? I thought I was a client as well. I was livid! The same day, he also told me that he was never doing a French nail dip for me again - because I told him, it didn't look professional. I had not experienced that level of rudeness until my question. I got the message and moved on to another salon of which he said I would never find because he is the best! Well, I did find another salon! Also, his prices are not the same as the other nail technicians in the salon, he's more expensive and they expect big tips, it's calculated in your bill at check-out: 15% 20%... or other. He does not take kindly to anyone that questions his work! Take a chance if you'd like but never ask questions and prepare to leave a big tip! The prices shown on their website are not "his"...
