YESTERcades of Metuchen — Attraction in Metuchen

Visited this weekend for the first time. My son has been there before, but this weekend was a family day.

First let me say the staff is friendly, kind and informative, made good eye contact and were a pleasure to deal with.

Second the facility is very clean, including the restroom, however I would have appreciated towels instead of a dryer, but that's a me issue.

The variety of games, arcade, pinball, video games is ridiculously large, they have almost all the original gaming systems. They also have air hockey and pool, chess and checkers, and I believe the vintage MTV channel, not positive but I think that is what it was. The atmosphere is just plain fun, there were game enthusiasts from every walk of life and age group just enjoying themselves. It was so refreshing to see and be a part of.

I strongly recommend a day pass, because if you are anything like me, "I'm just going to try one more time"...... 700 times LOL - I'm exaggerating but if you know you know. Otherwise it's an hourly rate with unlimited play, no coins or tokens needed!

I loved this place, can't wait to go back, it not only was incredibly fun, but brought back such great memories. This would be a great date night. FYI you can bring drinks in, but no...

Blown away by this lil hidden gem, these days it is difficult to hit all marks to deserve a 5 star review, 1st … Staff…. SO NICE! ALL OF THEM .. we were greeted by a lovely young lady Kiara who explained the entire process, 10/10 for staff - i was there with 5 kids and i have never seen a staff so patient because these kids were annoying they switched the game console games, cane up to me “i dont like to yell at other peoples children- can you tell them to stop running” even though he had full permission to unload on them that was still polite!!!! - the arcade games all worked even though some are almost 50yo !!! THE ATARI with THE 90s RCA box TV was my absolute FAVORITE! And the pinball machines ! If you grew up in the 80’s / 90’s you will be blown away- and finally… THE PLACE IS SPOTLESS ESPECIALLY THE BATHROOMS !!! Everything very well maintained, and pricing is VERY AFFORDABLE $10 per hour per person! UNREAL! THANK YOU TO THE YESTERCADES STAFF FOR A WONDERFUL NIGHT.! P.S.

Great experience at this Yestercades.

This location was super clean and very well-maintained.

All of the machines were working. All console games and accessories were neatly stored in their respective places.

In my situation, this was a perfect way to kill an hour with unlimited access to all kinds of games for the reasonable price of about $11. Lots of options including retro arcade cabinets, pinball machines, pool table, DDR machine and a variety of gaming consoles ranging from the old Atari consoles through the modern era (Playstation 5).

The sole worker on duty that was very efficient and friendly.

Convenient location on Main Street with lots of street parking in the area. There are also lots of food options along Main Street...easy way to make a day (of half)...
