I am what you would normally call a very low maintenance person who historically would get hair done once a year. My issue was not that I didn’t care about my hair, but that every time I did my hair I would leave surely looking better than I did coming in, but never committing to the hair stylist because they didn’t meet or exceed my expectations; until I met Susie who was recommended by my sister in law.

At our first meeting I tried to explain to her what I was seeking to have done to my hair. I gave her the same exact explanation of what I thought was enough for a professional stylist to understand and execute- maybe that was the problem with the others that while I may have lacked confidence in articulating what I wanted, Susie listened intently, asked some questions and then got to work. I told her like I have told all other stylists in the past, “use my head as your canvas” and added that “I don’t commit.” By the time she was finished with me, I was so happy with the outcome, nailing my distorted explanation of what I wanted! I told her “I think I am ready to commit” that was about 6 years ago and I have gone to no one else ever since.

A true talent who is genuine, honest, and consistent in her art. At the time she worked at someone else’s salon and thru the years I witnessed her make a dream come true of owning her own salon. When she opened it about 2 years ago, her startup consisted of her, a nail artist and assistant. While getting my hair done and needing a new nail girl- her nail artist Jackie had a slot and so i took it. I told her that I needed to begin seeking a new girl to do my nails because the one I had moved too far away from me. I told her what I liked and said to her I didn’t promise to commit. By the time she was done with my hands and feet I was extremely satisfied discovering she was even better than my last and immediately committed to her too.

A year after her startup salon she upgraded to where she is at now and has staffed her salon with staff whose performance is consistent, professional with quality of service that will exceed your expectations.

Take it from someone who always had difficulty committing to the self care of personal appearance because of my inability to articulate what I wanted perhaps in a way where I could truly be understood- those others didn’t quite get me and Susie and Jackie certainly did. They took the time to listen to my rambling truly assembling my desires; truly and always leaving me completely satisfied and happy feeling really good about myself! Mari I can’t leave behind who offers an incredible level of hospitality and gives the best head massages when she washes my hair. I am a high energy, extremely talking individual who she unwinds in a manner no other has ever done in a salon. Her hands are the icing to the cake!

I can’t speak highly enough of this salon. Susette Coiffeur is the definition of the perfection when it comes to hair cutting and coloring. I have been getting compliments daily as a result of Sussette’s work. You will not be disappointed. This is probably the best place in the city to get a haircut. I have lived in the city for a long time and I have been going to Sussette Coiffeur for years now.These ladies are amazing.
