I’m not usually the type to write reviews—I think I’ve only ever written one, and it was five stars. But after my experience at Forever 21 Lounge, I felt it was necessary to share.
I had an appointment with Alejandra, and unfortunately, it was one of the worst nail experiences I’ve had. From the moment I sat down, I felt rushed. Alejandra made several comments—both in whispers and even out loud at times—implying she shouldn’t have taken my appointment. She didn’t even try to hide it, which made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. If that was the case, I don’t understand why I was told over the phone that it was okay to book.
Her attitude throughout the appointment was very passive-aggressive. It wasn’t outright rude, but you could feel the energy. She had a standoffish vibe, a stank face the whole time, and made me feel like I was a burden—like she was just trying to get it over with. Instead of making the experience relaxing or enjoyable, she made it uncomfortable and tense.
On top of that, she did a terrible job with my pedicure. She barely did anything—didn’t remove any dead skin, didn’t properly scrub or exfoliate, and it felt like she just rushed through the motions. It wasn’t a full pedicure at all. It honestly felt like she just wanted to be done.
One of my nails came out wrinkled, and another had a noticeable gap. When I politely asked her to fix them, she brushed it off and said it wouldn’t make a difference. I had originally wanted a classic white French tip, but she pressured me out of it, saying there wasn’t enough time. I left with nails I didn’t even like—after paying almost $100.
I also overheard her and other staff gossiping about coworkers, which felt very unprofessional. And while I understand they were trying to close, vacuuming and mopping around me during the service just added to the rushed and awkward vibe.
At the end, I didn’t leave a tip because the experience was genuinely bad—and I always tip, usually at least $15. She saw that I didn’t tip and barely even said goodbye. Which honestly was fine, because by that point, I just wanted to get out of there.
To be fair, the salon itself is super cute and nicely decorated. But the energy and service—especially from Alejandra—completely ruined the experience. I wouldn’t recommend booking with her. 0/5👎
CLARIFICATION:
Hi, I just wanted to clarify that I did have an appointment with your salon. I originally left my review on the wrong location by mistake, but I’ve now gone ahead and posted it on the correct page—the West Kendall location.
My appointment was for 4 p.m. on a Sunday with a nail tech named Alejandra. I want to make it clear that I’m not lying about my experience. I did say “vacuuming” in my original review, but I meant sweeping. Regardless, sweeping and mopping were being done right in front of me during the service. You can check your cameras—this absolutely happened.
There was also unprofessional behavior, including talking negatively about others in the salon, which made me feel extremely uncomfortable. Overall, it was not a good experience. If you’d like to know more, feel free to read the full review I left under the correct West Kendall location

Read moreI contacted this place BEFORE making an appointment to verify that they could do the design I wanted & they said yes.
I get to my appointment & not a single person working there knew how to do structured apres. (I should’ve left at this point.)
I was understanding and decided to only do the pedicure. They stated they could use acrylic instead of apres to make the design & I agreed.
They did the entire pedicure & applied the polish just to be told last minute that they could no longer do the design because they didn’t have the products??
Which I don’t understand who starts something without verifying that they have the material to do so first.
Instead, they offered me nail stickers and at that point I was already more than frustrated since from the beginning they had given my appointment to someone else even though I arrived on time & also from the lack of professionalism all together.
When I went to pay, I realized there were two additional charges, one for the French tips (which I already knew French is always extra) & another charge for a design??
A design charge should be for something that requires skill, placing a sticker is something a child could do.
I think it was extremely inconsiderate to charge me extra for literally putting 2 premade stickers when they hadn’t done what was originally promised.
I should have told them to remove everything, a complete waste of time since I was there from 6:30pm to almost 9pm for just a pedicure.

This time my nails look amazing 🤩 and cleaner, and I didn’t have to pay again. The lady who had fixed my nails this time deserved that tip, and I’m very grateful that the owner was caring. Thank you so much!
They were supposed to remove the Gel from my nails, but had done a poor job in doing so. I even mentioned this to the lady doing my nails, many times I might add, but she didn’t correct it. I do understand that someone was behind me, but now that I painted my nails, you can tell the difference based on how ugly my nails were taken care of. To be honest, I had paid more than what I could’ve gotten if I had done gel (I had gotten regular polish). If They knew they were going to rush with my appointment, I don’t understand why they took me in. I am very unsatisfied with the outcome.
