A nice living facility where you can rehabilitate from injuries, homeless, out of work there are many ways to exercise to a better lifestyle being a part of Camilla house. The food is great and the staff is so polite and gives you all the reason to pursue what you've been missing. Gets you back on your feet where you belong. Superb.

Today, I contacted Alexandra Reyes from Camillus House regarding ERAP financial assistance because Arlette Telfort from the Office of Housing Advocacy stated that they have decided to withhold funding for my past due balance due to failed inspections and an unpaid balance from Section 8. She also stated that Alexandra Reyes from Camillus House had been in frequent contact with me after that Friday but they were not. They have not contacted me after February 7, 2025 or follow-up with more information regarding my application. She said this because I stated that I have not heard from Camillus House since Friday, February 7, 2025.

Additionally, Alexandra Reyes mentioned that Section 8 would not cover the rent from the time of the failed inspection and that I would be responsible for that portion. She then stated it was my responsibility to relocate to a new apartment to avoid eviction by the sheriff. Furthermore, she claimed she could not assist me with relocating or provide any information outside of ERAP, as that was the only information she was responsible for sharing. She also stated that if Section 8 doesn't pay their balance they cannot process ERAP and then I wouldn't receive any more funding for permanent housing, although that is not the disclosures. Basically after two years of permanent housing, she's suggesting that these organizations worked to achieve a process to eliminate my grant, yet these are organizations for victims of homelessness.

She stated that the court had dismissed my case and ruled in favor of the landlord. When I asked if she received this information after I filed an emergency motion, she initially said yes. However, when I pressed for details about who provided this information and when, she stated it was on February 5th. I stated that I had filed my emergency motion on February 6th and that a second decision was still pending, despite her assertion that the court dismissed my case in favor of the landlord. At that point, she became upset and disregarded the information I presented, failing to disclose any further details.

Furthermore, Alexandra Reyes then indicated that unless Section 8 pays the unpaid balance they are responsible for, they cannot process the ERAP payment.

However, Section 8 has not informed me whether they would pay the unpaid rent for the time of the failed inspection, but they did request to return in 30 days after February 7, 2025, to reinspect the home. Additionally, Section 8 has issued the maintenance request to the landlord, not the tenant, meaning it is the landlord's responsibility to repair the damages. If the landlord does not repair the damages, they will not receive the rent from Section 8. However, if what Alexandra Reyes stated is true, waiting to make repairs would prevent the landlord from receiving their rent. Unfortunately, Alexandra Reyes sided with the property and stated that I would be held liable for unpaid rent by Section 8 due to the landlord's failed inspection.

I should not be held liable for rent due to the failed inspection, as Section 8 needs to fulfill its obligation to submit payments for the rent that was agreed upon.

During this conversation, Alexandra Reyes argued that I was disrespectful for expressing my concerns. I did not say anything disrespectful, but I did let her know that she was unprofessional for not being able to handle conflict with trauma victims and that she was insensitive to my needs. It seemed she was intentionally discouraging to win the approval of Nadlan Property Management and her supervisor. They do not appear to support human trafficking survivors and are not seeking to help those involved with homelessness.

She incorrectly stated that I did not have a program, but I clarified that my program is not listed under Section 8 but under the Continuum of Care program. Someone should still be able to provide me with support and information about my rights and the relocation process, if necessary.

I would still like to receive ERAP financial assistance and be rescued from discrimination and...

@camillus_house I have this bad story to tell you so that you do not believe that everything is real. this is really happening to me right now as a business owner I own several properties which I rent to plan 8 and to people who need help, I made a lease agreement with Camillus house @ in April 2024 through Chelsea Gaidwood because a tenant Dalayja Williams told me that she did not have the funds to move but she had this agency that paid her the first month, the last month and the deposit to move to my property, which I have done before with other non-profit agencies and I have never had this problem,. Mrs. Chelsea Gaidwood guaranteed me that it was a 2 to 5 week process to receive payment and I innocently to help this Williams woman with 4 children I let her move to my property since she had nowhere to live to be able to help it turns out that the @camillus_house agency has been since April and we are in August without paying me what was agreed in the contract and I have had to remove the tenant Williams from the property causing vandalism, without paying me rent and she has lived there since May, June and July that she simply left my property and no one has paid me a single cent with this I tell you how @camillus_house is going to sign a payment agreement with me and not pay me anything, where are the donations that you yourselves make, where does the money that you yourselves donate so honestly go? I am so frustrated with this problem that I cannot believe the nightmare I am living. I ask for your help in this case and I want to make it public to stop the frauds and injustices to the property owners who only lose money, time and that is why we can no longer believe anyone or non-profit agencies @camillus_house DO NOT DONATE ANYMORE IT IS...
