I recently had the pleasure of visiting Jungle Island with a group of friends, and I must say it was an absolute delight. Our main highlight was the incredible sloth experience, and our guide, Jose, played a pivotal role in making the entire visit truly unforgettable.
From the moment we arrived at Jungle Island, it was evident that the care and dedication put into the facility were exceptional. The lush greenery and vibrant flora created a stunning backdrop, immersing us in a tropical paradise. The attention to detail in maintaining a beautiful and well-groomed environment was evident throughout the park, adding to the overall charm of the place.
Our guide, Jose, was the star of the sloth experience. From the get-go, his passion for the animals and his extensive knowledge were evident. He went above and beyond to provide us with a wealth of information about the sloths, their habitat, and their behavior. Jose's enthusiasm was contagious, and his ability to convey his love for these amazing creatures truly enhanced the experience. We loved Rico Suave and Flash, the cutest sloths ever.
What made Jose stand out was not only his expertise but also his warm and personable nature. He took the time to interact with each member of our group, ensuring that everyone felt included and engaged. He patiently answered all our questions and shared fascinating stories about the sloths, making the encounter educational and entertaining at the same time.
Jungle Island itself was a haven for nature enthusiasts. The animals were well taken care of, and their habitats were well designed. It was heartening to see the dedication of the staff in providing a safe and comfortable home for the animals, and their commitment to conservation was evident throughout the park.
Beyond the sloth experience, Jungle Island offered a diverse array of animal exhibits that captivated our attention. From exotic birds to reptiles and mammals, there was something for everyone. The opportunity to witness these magnificent creatures up close was truly awe-inspiring and left us with a deep appreciation for the wonders of the animal kingdom.
In conclusion, my visit to Jungle Island was a truly fantastic experience. The combination of a beautiful setting, well-cared-for animals, and knowledgeable guides like Jose made it an unforgettable adventure. Whether you're a nature lover or simply looking for an exciting and educational outing, Jungle Island is a must-visit destination. I can't recommend it enough, and I'm already looking forward to my next visit to explore more of the captivating wildlife and natural beauty that Jungle Island...
Read moreVery expensive and for what? My family and I visited after getting off a cruise on Saturday December 7, 2024. My dad bought tickets and me and my brothers and my mom went to the bathroom. Tell me why that flirt was covered in dirt when the place had barely been open, at least one of the locks on the stalls was stuck so it wouldn’t lock, and I sat down on a toilet, almost fell in, stood up to put the seat down, and realized there was NO seat. Why did the toilet not have a seat? It wasn’t a urinal since this was the women’s room. It was a toilet without a seat. There are barely any places to sit which is not good if you have a broken leg/foot (like I currently do) or if you have other leg/health/age issues. When we eventually found a bench, it was covered in poop. The only animals they didn’t have in enclosures were some sort of small bird and seagulls which definitely didn’t drop those pieces of poop. Worst part, that was clearly old poop that had never been cleaned up. GROSS. Hardly anywhere to eat. We wandered around for a little bit just to find ONE food truck and my dad paid $80 just for us five to eat mid low quality fries, chicken, and burgers. Also most of their condiments come in very big packets that were bigger than the little ketchup packets other places give you. Why? Just why? This place just wants money even though it’s not great. It’s filthy. Actually disgusting. I wasn’t even a huge fan of gator land in the Orlando area but this place takes the cake for worst place I’ve been to. The animals they have are just basic zoo animals in a worse place and in worse conditions. If you're in the Miami area, do yourself a favor and go to the Miami Zoo and not this hellhole. Don’t go here unless you want filthy, unsanitary bathrooms, a waste of money, and a waste of time. Also when my brother got thirsty, we went to the vending machine to get him water. $7??? And I thought Disneyland water was expensive. Even they don’t charge that! And it was Dasani. No way they charge $7 for...
Read moreWe had been to the Old Parrot Jungle in Pinecrest (Sunny Land) many time before but never been to the new Jungle Island, so planned on a New Years day visit. I had purchased my tickets and did the waivers online so we were ready to go. Arrived early and there is plenty of parking, although who ever designed the parking garage seems to be from Europe as the slots and roadway were built extremely small & narrow. I have an SUV and it was challenging parking and navigating the parking top & bottom floor ramps.
When we got to the the ticket window the young lady was pleasantly surprised that we had our QR codes ready and all waivers signed online. I will say that the waiver process does not make sense. It seems that you sign and initial your life away several times for a place that has no wild animals and no steep inclines or rough terrine! Not really sure what this is all about????
We had a wonderful time and the weather was spectacular. We easily walked the entire park in about 1.5 hours. The young lady at the ticket booth recommend the NALU acrobatic show and I must say this was worth the price of admission.
For the most part we enjoyed ourselves. I was expecting to see and hear more wild birds, parrots, etc. similar to the Parrot Jungle I grew up with... but everything is well placed and easy to find. We did notice The Jungle Splash is just some inflatable water slides mostly designed for small children and the snack shacks didn't have any hot/ice coffee to offer. I also observed several metal structures with heavy rust and wood fencing which was rotten and repainted over...
If you never been it a is must do in Miami and similar to the old Parrot Jungle which I only visited during special occasions or when friends & family traveled from out of town and want to visit an iconic...
