If you’re into exploring the lighthouses, add this one to your list! The walk out gives you a clear path to the lighthouse, +/- a few potholes, but all in all safe as can be. Stop along the straight path and jump in the clear blue water, or take your fishing pole and gear up along the bend and sit down along the rocks and catch some fish.
*Side note though- foot traffic is rather heavy in the summer.
All in all, a great stop along your travels. Plop down on the beach and have a relax session, grab a bench and people watch or right around sunset catch the sky light up with beautiful colors around...

I wish we could have gone inside as I can't imagine how cool that must look. It was a cold Fall day and still there were a number of friendly fishermen there to talk to, mostly because the fish weren't biting... Next time you're in Frankfort you owe it to yourself to have a wander out to see...
