Yeah stay far away. It’s a mall kiosk so your expectations should be low but these people are scammy. As can be.

I have a decent watch and was looking for a quick cheap and easy battery replacement. My first mistake was coming to a mall kiosk. After 25 minutes of hammering at it with some tool, the guy tells me there’s corrosion and A B and C is wrong with it. They can keep it and call me back with an estimate. Never in a million years. “This happens in one in a thousand watches. We can fix.” Good old destroy and fix oldest trick in the book.

I took it to an actual jeweler the next day, a guy our family knows, he says nothing was wrong with it other than a part that was clearly mangled that couldn’t have been caused by a dead battery. Dude didn’t even put it back together or give me back the dead battery when I declined his request to keep it. Thankfully the damage wasn’t severe but it’ll cost more than a $10 battery replacement.

Really disappointing place! Brought two items to get repaired was told it would be ready the next day, which was perfect because that’s exactly what I was looking for. I come back the next day and they tell me it won’t be ready till the following weekend. That’s basically almost a week.
