I used to be a regular here but one of their regular staff members Ismeal started giving me bad service. I noticed he would be rude to me while waiting my table, like he was annoyed with me. I always get the same thing so he knows me by my order. One day I was driving to CT from NY, when I made my friend drive to guacamoles, i called and place my order ahead of time, but the driver drove to their other location. So i ended up switching my order to the location that I was at. Next time i went back to the milford location, ismeal asked me if it was me who made that order and went to the wrong location. I informed him that it was me and that it was a miscommunication. Months go by and i normally dine in, i noticed him being shady to me. I normally dine here at least once a week. One day I called to place an order for pickup, keep in mind this is several months after ive been a regular customer at this milford location, Ismeal says to me while im placing my order over the phone, come to right location this time cause you ordered here and went to the Brandford location. That really urked me because that incident happened 5 months ago and since then I’ve been to the restaurant several times over 10 times. I told him i know and hung up. I should have set him straight then. So after 50 mins i go to pick up my order. Ismael is at the front and proceeds to tell me that my order is not ready. I get the ceviche, its literally raw fish in lime juice, it doesn’t take that long to make. I asked why is it taking so long, he tells me that they had a couple orders before me. There was literally 3 tables in the whole restaurant. The place is normally empty and part of it is because of the terrible service. He then proceeds to asked me to pay. I then wait another 30 mins to get my order. Because of the incident that previously occurred with me going to the wrong location. He did not place my order until i Paid. I had my two year old sleeping in the car. These people have zero care for their customers and they just lost a loyal customer. You would think he would apologize for the long wait. Nothing. This place is basura. Go somewhere else.

Typically, I'm not really a huge fan of mall dining, but we accidentally came upon this place one afternoon, and I'm so glad we did. Now any time we're looking for a fun night/weekend afternoon of good food and good cocktails, this is where we go. The food is very well seasoned and it's remarkably good, and the drinks are so yummy. We're partial to the mango martinis, and since we can both put back between 2-3 cocktails each with dinner, we order the pitcher, which will run you about $45, but with the single drinks at about $12/each, it more than pays for itself and we save almost $20. The platter of food in the pic is the Dos Amigos Special, which is steak and chicken with rice and refried beans (I think it was like $20), and the pic of the bowl of food - I have to apologize, it wasn't my dish and I can't remember, but I do recall it being very good (whatever it was called, and it was like $27). One other thing I would definitely recommend is the fresh guacamole with chips appetizer for the table - it's absolutely delicious! DO NOT sleep on this place for Cinco de Mayo - despite the Covid, this was THE place to be this past year. We always have a great time here, but plan on spending about $50/person with drinks, appetizers and dinner.

We recently dined at Guacamole's Mexican Cuisine and had an amazing experience. The food was delicious, bursting with flavors and made with fresh ingredients. The menu offered a wide variety of options, from traditional favorites like tacos and enchiladas to more adventurous choices like mole poblano. The staff was friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming atmosphere. While the restaurant is a little outdated it had a comfortable environment with vibrant decor. The seating arrangements were spacious, allowing for a comfortable dining experience whether you were visiting alone, with friends, or with family. The prices were reasonable, and the portion sizes were generous. I highly recommend Guacamole for a fantastic Mexican dining experience.

*Edit, updating my review/rating, I got takeout (called them directly and picked up mysef so they wouldn't have to pay a service) since I enjoyed my dining experience there. But when I asked the staff member if the chips and salsa are included(didn't even ask about the bean dip) he specifically said no. I'm sure they would have sold them to me but I'm on a budget. I don't get why if I eat there I get chips, salsa, and bean dip with my dinner at no extra charge but if I get takeout, make sure they don't have to pay a 3rrd party, and serve mysef I have to pay the same price but get less with my dinner, even if I ask. It's not like they spent $ on elaborate packaging for my takeout, just one tin with a lid. Because I can not get takeout there, and noticed that the food wasn't as good without the chips, salsa, and bean dip breaking it up (kinda salty and barely any of the beans I love in my burrito) I'm changing my rating from 5 to 3. It's a big change but stretched to afford the meal and didn't really enjoy it because they decided to cut costs at my expense. In the future I'll go to another Mexican restaurant that does give me chips and salsa with my takeout orders...

This places is a paradox to me. They opened practically a stones throw from an existing popular mex spot with similar offerings, in a town seemingly saturated with mexican restaurants. They appeared to spend a lot on a beautiful remodel in a prime, spacious mall location. The times I go (I do tend to eat a bit late) they seem dead. You'd think they'd close, right? Or offer subpar food, bare bones service, and/or overprice dishes to make ends meet. Nope. In fact when the other nearby spot rose prices post covid guacamoles kept prices reasonable while still offering fresh, generously sized dishes....delivered by attentive staff. For me it ends up being a chill, stylish spot to enjoy good food with friends and just hang out enjoying the atmosphere. Food wise I'm pretty experienced...it's not ground breaking but it's solid tex-mex with a decent stewed (shredded) beef...Puerta stopped even offering that as an option on combos and such. The mole is made to order and there are a lot of perks like a multi item combo including a decent sized chimichanga with guac, sour cream, and a cactus salad...for under $20. There's also a date night special with 2 meals, 2 drinks, and 2 deserts for $45. Everyone gotta have that thing they do best, and ironically I wouldn't say its the guacamole (which is still good). I think its their refried beans. Just right consistency, fresh tasting, and perfect flavor imho. They serve them free with the peppery salsa so no matter what you order you can enjoy them. I've tried all the local places from Stratford to the orange line and I enjoy theirs the most. I've attempted to make them from scratch before and it's not quite as straightforward to get them just right as...

NEVER GO HERE I am so flabbergasted of what happened at this restaurant I’ve been here multiple times and never experienced horrible customer service, horrible food. I ordered taco de birria. A flavorful spice, Mexican dish. I’ve had it from multiple places so I was excited to have it when it came. It tasted disgusting. It tasted like water down stew it was not flavorful. It was just awful and Disgusting, Not sitting in my or my friend Stomach well. Who also tried It to make sure that I wasn’t losing my mind. It was like they put a dishrag in there and it was just disgusting. I went to our server and I expressed how I Felt and the first thing that came out if his mouth was you have to pay for it regardless. Then he step back and said what’s wrong with it. I explained my concerns and then he took it from me and said you still had to pay for it. He did not offer me another dish. He didn’t apologize. He just said he made it this morning and it’s fine. Two people at my table, tested it, and it did not taste fine. My friends dish was also messed up and he fixed that, I asked to speak to the manager to see if there’s something we can do and he said he’s The manager. He then called the security and two of them came in, The manager pulled my plate out of the bin and said This is what she had. The dish came with three tacos. I had three bites of one and sent it back and he said since I had three bites of it, I have to pay for it all I said no the plate wasn’t well I wasn’t offered anything else like $24 is outrageous for a half taco, he then said $10 for one taco and I said no because of the fact that the plate was $18 itself I said I’ll pay six dollars for this to go away and the owner was still pushing for $24 And I said no, that is outrageous. You didn’t offer anything you had bad customer service and you’re not even letting me take the food home. You just took it away from me and I had half of a taco. I said I paid for my drinks in cash. I cannot pay for this dish for some thing that was taken away from me. That tasted disgusting and I wasn’t offer a different dish. I ended up paying seven dollars for it and we walked out I cannot express how horrible this restaurant is how horrible the manager is how the customer service was...
