UPDATE: I have called and asked for the Store Manager 5-10 times over the past month and every time I've called, he is never available to speak to me or he's not in. My number is taken down (though they already have it in the system), I'm told they will relay the message, and I have yet to hear from him & it's been over a month. My refrigerator freezer is STILL not sealing properly, and my frozen foods are continuing to frost over. The store sent a guy out to fix it and when he came, he took a look and said he couldn't fix it, and someone would be in contact. I have yet to hear from ANYONE & this was over a month ago! I am now using my neighbor's freezer to store my frozen foods & and am in the process of purchasing a new refrigerator from another company. --------------- Original Review Below-------------- SAVE YOUR MONEY!! I purchased a basic refrigerator and a chest of drawers from these people last year and the issues began almost instantly when I was lied to about my delivery date. On the date of delivery (or what was supposed to have been), I removed all food from my then-current refrigerator and removed it from my home. Hours went by and I received no communication from the store, so I called and was told the schedule was full and I was put down for the following weekend. Excuse me? Absolutely not. I told the "manager" I would be coming to get it myself. I had to then fork out more money for a U-Haul and get the refrigerator and chest of drawers myself. Now, it's been a year, I've made payment after payment on this account, and the "Payoff Balance" has not moved at all. I called some months ago and inquired as to why, and the chick I spoke with kept talking in circles. I asked to get out of the contract, and they take their items back and was told no. Also, I complained to the lady I spoke to about the seal on my refrigerator and I was given no solution. The refrigerator still doesn't seal. My freezer is always frosted over. This entire experience from start to finish has been terrible. Worst decision...
Read moreUpdate: A year later and Farmer was not true to wanting fix the issue! They asked me to get a quote then didn't want to pay for the work. They then said their manager would just paint it and he never showed up to do it and shocker he no longer works there. This was the worse experience ever.
Orginal review below: This process started out good, but once they have your money it's a nightmare. I have been waiting so long for chairs to be delivered to a dining room table. Got a bench to the table after stating in store I did not want that but if I declined at delivery seeming how it's a month later I'd only still have two chairs for a family of four. Delivery people were not careful as my walls have dents from hitting the walls, they dropped the dolly on one of the dressers causing damage and no so much as a sorry as I was standing in the room when it happened. They left handprints all over the white furniture and didn't even attempt to wipe it and hand prints all over my walls like toddlers... communication has been poor and then when I call today they supposed to be delivered tomorrow.... who was going to notify so they could be sure someone is home? It's been excuse after excuse. All the manager Sean could say is " what can I do to make this right? We want to make sure you're happy." Most people would be happy to hear this but to me it offers no real solution, it feels like a get out jail free card was threw at me. If it wouldn't upset my kids as most of the furniture was for them I'd give it all back for a full refund. I feel taken advantage of more than anything. Can't give me time back....
Read moreHaving read some negative reviews re. Farmer's, I want to praise this store for exceptional service. From the very friendly salesperson to the delivery men, I could not have asked for more. I returned a sofa because it didn't fit (my fault for measuring incorrectly) and was immediately credited with a refund - no hassle. A dining table had a problem corner, it was reordered and changed out. Each time a pickup or delivery was exactly on schedule. This is far better customer service than can be found in most businesses of any type. Kudos to the manager...
