Miltown Eats — Attraction in Milwaukee

Receiving my Miltown Eats order is hands-down my favorite part of the week! We have been ordering Miltown Eats for about 8 weeks now and can never imagine stopping! The first reason I love this company is that all of their food/products are based in Wisconsin. As a person who loves to support local, this aspect of their company is huge for me! In addition, I feel that the meals are simple to make and the times on the recipe card are accurate (as far as prep/cook time). With many other food delivery services, the times are way off (they usually take me much longer than stated) and there are a million things I need to chop! Ahh! Having long days in education, I do not have the energy or time to do all of that. Miltown Eats makes it so simple. I will also say that every single one of their meals that we have gotten has been delicious! Each time we eat, my fiance and I try to determine our favorite dish but it is nearly impossible! I have tried a lot of the packaged meal kits -- Blue Apron, Sun Basket, Purple Carrot, and Hello Fresh -- but the one I have decided to stay with is Miltown Eats. It is both like and not like the others.

It is like the others in that I get a great selection of recipes (including vegetarian options), the food is delivered fresh, and it is easy to make.

It is not like the others in that I get food delivered from across town (instead of across the country); the packaging is minimal (and I send it back to be reused each week); the fresh food I get is also locally sourced, providing Wisconsin jobs; and Miltown Eats recipes are amazing!

I am not a vegetarian, but I have been choosing more and more vegetarian meals just because they are so darn tasty. I have enjoyed the extra gifts I get for being a longer-term member. I also love the marketplace extras I can get like locally sourced nuts, meats, and chocolate.

I LOVE MILTOWN EATS! I've done a few meal delivery services and have had two problems that Miltown eats solves. 1: the waste. Other companies send your food in box with a lot of packaging and ice packs and there is just so much waste. Miltown eats is local so they can deliver it in a tote that, along with the ice packs, is returnable--I just leave it on my porch on delivery day. 2.. I have food allergies and have not always been able to choose meals that did not contain the foods I am allergic to so I would have to leave ingredients out or purchase additional ingredients make substitutions on my own. Miltown eats has these ingredients flagged on my account and they make the substitutions for me (they even purchase one ingredient for special for me). They really go above and beyond to make this as easy as a meal delivery service is supposed to be. And the food...
