All God's Children Metropolitan Community Church — Attraction in Minneapolis

The first time I visited AGC, I was incredibly moved by the sermon given by Pastor DeWayne. My partner and I were looking for an LGBT affirming church in Minneapolis and this was the second one we visited. As soon as we did we knew this was the place we wanted to call our spiritual home. These powerful messages marrying God's teachings to the real world inspired me on my spiritual journey with God. The history of this church and the LGBT community is fascinating and inspiring. I really like and appreciate the variety of traditions that are practiced for Sunday service. The music ministry moves me on the weekly, I love that there is a mix of old and new, modern and classic music. The musicians are very talented and you can tell they are loving every minute of their ministry. I feel very comfortable here with my background as an Evangelical and also with my Catholic traditions from school while still affirming me as a member of the LGBT community. It feels like I get little tidbits of both and more, as I continue to worship and volunteer with this community. I was searching for an accepting and affirming church as other churches and religions had turned me away in judgment. My friends invited me to Sunday service at All God’s Children Church. I can’t say enough goodness about this church. As soon as I walked in the door, they welcomed me with open arms and hugs. Everyone that I came in contact with was loving and caring. The music was so awesome!!! The Singer’s and all of the members of the band was so beautifully orchestrated that It brought tears to my eyes and warmth to my Heart. The Pastor Kenny’s sermon was so Truthful of the Unconditional Love of God….uplifting, inspiring, welcoming and Loving . After service I was invited downstairs for fellowship and brunch. Everyone and Pastor Kenny were so welcoming and friendly. I truly felt like I belonged and accepted. This church is doing the work of the Kingdom of Our Heavenly Father as Jesus accepts Everyone!!! Honestly, if you're Christian AND you're queer then this is the place to be! I am a practicing Buddhist, but AGCMCC has given me respite in my triumphs and tribulations. I love the greeters Johnny and Mark because they are there every week with the most wonderful smiles on their faces AND the biggest hugs. This is a truly welcoming community to all.

There are so many recovery meetings held here throughout the week, and everyone who comes feels like family. I love this place and the message here! All are beautiful, and welcome here. 'I AM WELCOME HERE!'
