Only street parking available. First come first serve outdoor seating and a queue for indoor. Cute spot from the outside.
I’m giving it a one star due to the poor business model setup and lack luster non-vegan food. I ordered the vegan southwest hash and it was fairly good just over priced. My non-vegan companions were unimpressed by the presentation and taste of their breakfast options however (they ordered the Back to Basics and the Hash Brown Rancheros).
The wait and dining set up for this place is “modern” I guess. If you want to dine in you come in and give your name and then they seat you inside. If you want to eat outside then you order from the counter, take a number and then go outside and (hopefully) find a seat. I say hopefully because there is not guarantee you’ll get a seat before your food arrives since it takes 1hr+ to get anything. We ordered to-go and it still took that long. I also witness a party of two who arrived before another group of 2 and 4, not get seated first.
To me it appears the issue is somewhere in the kitchen setup. Breakfast should not take 1hr+ to make even with a packed house; 30 min max. Due to it having vegan and non-vegan options it feels like they cook everything as it’s ordered and then clear the grill for the vegan options. Not efficient in anyway. Multiple grills or batch cooking would cut time down.
If your a hipster, gen Z with no plans for the entire day and money to blow, feel free to frequent this place. I unfortunately wasn’t impressed as I’d hoped to be considering there aren’t many places with a good range of both vegan and non-vegan options for my companions and myself. I’m the only vegan one so I really try to give places like...
Read moreSad grey meat of inedible toughness. I was pretty excited to try this place, boasting in their selection of offering plant-based options, vegan, vegetarian, Gluten free & carnivorous options. Their selection of dietary options and decent staff gets the 2 stars, but my food was severely disappointing. My ham in the brioche sandwich was grey, hard and unable to bite through with my teeth.. immediately turned me off, but we were on a friend date and I didn't want to look like a picky a-hole, so I tried to pick around it and mouth breathe while only eating the one slice of bread with a smidge of cheese on it. Not worth the almost $10 for this meal. I ordered this meal, as they advertise it with a side salad, and I ordered it with an additional side of fries, wanting to share it with my husband... my salad never came and the fries were drenched in garlic chunks and sauce. More mouth breathing. I feel bad for wasting money on this incredibly disappointing meal... the taste was stuck in my mouth forever and recollecting the smell was nausea inducing. I'm so bummed because I was so excited for this adorably quaint lil place...and then had this wasteful experience. If it would have been just my husband and I, I would have brought it up, because seriously I am expecting to be sick from this sad grey meat of...
Read moreI was really looking forward to try this place after being recommended. I came in almost at 2 pm on a Saturday. The space is tiny, but vibrant. It has a lot of personality which made me more excited to try while I waited a few minutes for a table. Unfortunately, I never got to try it because after being seated, I waited 10 minutes to get approached by a server and never did. The space is TINY and I watched all of the servers walk past me many times. I gave the benefit of the doubt and went back to the hostess stand to ask if this was an order at the counter style service of if I get a server. Once I was told I get my own server, she offered to grab them for me. I expressed to her my disappointment from waiting for so long and being ignored the entire time and as a result no longer felt comfortable eating there. I will still at least, order a chai to go from her. She gave me a few cents off of my chai which was kind, but didn't seem to notify anyone to check in on me while I waited for my to go order. In the grand scheme of things, I know that 10 minutes isn't that long. But when you are by yourself, in a very small environment, at a place you've been looking forward to, and have multiple people walk past you many times without checking in on you it feels so...
