I ended up here on accident while looking for a spot to park for the target fireworks on stone arch bridge. You could kinda see the fireworks from here, you just had to walk 2 blocks or so. But while the sun was going down, I got some good photos. It was really cool to see the boats also, and I like how the train bridge goes over the river. Attached are some photos I took from that night. I would highly recommend coming here for parking and to site see. I wouldn't say this is a good place for kids because there isn't a play ground and the rivers deep and there's not much for a child to do at this "park". Otherwise I highly recommend. Especially...

This huge park is so big and filled with the most amazing sights. At night time, the view everywhere is just breathtaking. The entire place just has this vibe that is like no other. During the day, it is filled with awesome people. The waterfall makes you fall in love with being alive, lols. Honestly, this place is the place if you need to be surrounded by people and explore spaces. Bikes, scootering, and walking trails are well put together. I really enjoyed that there are these kinda hidden chill spots. One more thing, the entire park is well kept...

Pretty bland after the city razed and hacked all brush and trees down that used to have walking paths through them. Moreover, the city is doing a great job at demonstrating a "now we have no clue what we shall make of this now bland-as-it-gets park and bike/walking/blading path along Mississippi Road.

Still no restroom access, no public water available (turned off/locked out)

Wake up and get your act together, City of Minneapolis. We the taxpayers (and U of MN students!) are what subsidize your paychecks and fund what we expect you to wisely...

I went on a weekend day so it was really busy. Lots of people walking around enjoying the nice fall weather, college kids playing Frisbee and I think there was a family reunion or something going on. The park itself isn't much but you can get on the river boat there and there's a nice beach and there is a large parking lot (pay lot).
