I-35W Saint Anthony Falls Bridge — Attraction in Minneapolis

I've driven on several bridges, and this is, by far, one of them. Much of it's traffic comes from...traffic. Also, I've heard that they definitely designed it to continue crossing the Mighty Mississippi in a manner worthy of an actual bridge (which, in my book, is a sizable plus).

Silly sidebar: Like everything else in our era, this (interstate freeway!) bridge stands as a ludicrous example of politicizing every darn thing in this city by (you'll never guess) lighting it with multi-colored lights during the gay pride festival. Ne'er a taxpayer dollar misspent 'round...

Such a beautiful bridge! After the old one collapsed in 2007 I wondered what the new one would look like, as well as how they would help memorialize those who died in the collapse. The bridge looks gorgeous at night, it's usually lit up in blue but occasionally other colors. During the day it's really pretty when you go underneath of it because of the design and how bright white it is, and the surrounding scenery makes it look...

Over the past few years I've observed the night time light show. If viewed from west river road, fantastic! The design changes ( I don't know how often) so checking it out once in awhile is recommended. Some of the designs are clever in how they use various color combinations to highlight and contrast the planes of the bridge. A giant evolving art work. An excellent contribution to the look...
