Sorry, but I had a bad experience. We had called in an order for pick up. Was told 30 minutes. We were on our way already and figured we can wait. We parked at a parking meter, 30 minutes should be more than enough time. We arrived to the restaurant 10 minutes into after the call. 10 minutes before the 30 minute wait we were told Joe (Joel?) said that they were packing it up. Cool. We had another staff come out and asked if we were helped, we told him that our we had already placed a to-go order. He said he would go check on it and let us know. Never saw him. Passed the 30 minutes at this point. Joe kept saying, "they haven't brought your food out yet?" And would run back, but not even give us an update why our food has run out. At one point I asked him what the ETA for the food is and he went back to go check and never came back out to check back. At that point he literally was not even trying to make eye contact with me nor give me any sort of update. What the F! I'm literally at the counter while he's taking phone calls, etc... no update/no eye contact. I have worked at restaurants before and I understand it gets busy so if the food is delayed, LET ME KNOW. I don't get mad easily and very understanding that things happen, but if you don't let me know... all I can do is think that it's taking 25 minutes to pack my food. It took 20 minutes longer than what we expected! Nobody care to give us an update nor apologized for the delay.
Okay, so we can the food. All I kept telling myself is that hopefully the food was worth the wait. Nope. Food is bland and over priced. You want authentic Thai, go see Nong's Thai Cuisine in Golden Valley. I hope they can either staff the restaurant better and train their staff to provide customer service.
I just still can't believe he was avoiding me until the food was ready. Unbelievable.
Anyway, that's my piece. I hope everyone else has a better experience, but that's enough for me...
Read moreI stopped in for dinner at Thai Garden Fusion with a coworker, and we had a great experience overall. We started with the cream cheese wontons as an appetizer, and they were absolutely delicious—crispy, creamy, and perfectly indulgent.
For my main course, I ordered the drunken noodles and asked the server about their spice levels. He mentioned that their medium was pretty spicy, so I opted for mild. However, even the mild was quite spicy—almost too spicy for my taste, and I usually don’t mind a little heat. If you’re sensitive to spice, I’d recommend being extra cautious and maybe even specifying no spice at all.
I also tried the Thai bubble tea. The Thai tea itself was fantastic—rich and flavorful—but I wasn’t a fan of the tapioca pearls. I’m sure plenty of people love them, but they just weren’t for me.
Overall, the food was vibrant and delicious, the portions were generous, and the service was friendly and attentive. It’s a cozy spot with a great atmosphere, and I’d definitely come back—just with a heads-up about the spice levels, and I'd skip the...
