3/22/25 - Wife and I came here for lunch after the bell museum and walker art museum was on the way. When we got here, there were a few open tables, not a full house yet, but servers looked really busy, cleaning tables, running around serving food, taking orders. We got seated right away, but with how busy server were, we didn’t get our food order for around 10-15 minutes. After waiting around during that time, more and more people filled the restaurant and it is now a full house. We both order pho dac biet and I also order a Vietnamese coffee and bahn mi to go. It seems like 1 person was cooking in the back as it took awhile for us to get our food. A family of 3 came in after us got their pho first, but took awhile for the 3rd person to get their rice platter. After a while we finally got our pho. The pho was good, broth had a good meat/sweet flavor, meat tasted good, not the best pho I’ve had but better than most. The only sauce condiment on the table are siracha and hoisin sauce, not sure if they have more stuff in the back, we didn’t ask. We ate quick and left as we only had an hour on the meter. Overall good food, service was a bit slow, but they were apologetic. Maybe next time I’ll go try the one in Asia mall...

I had a very disappointing experience at Pho Mai and won’t be returning. Upon arriving at 7:30 PM on St.Patricks day , we chose to sit in a more secluded area, but the waiter insisted we move to a booth near other customers, which felt unnecessary and intrusive.
The service was poor throughout our meal. We were only given three napkins, and when we asked the female waitress for more, she gave us a side-eye before bringing them over. The waiter also brought the bill while we were still eating, making us feel rushed rather than valued as customers.
To make matters worse, the water tasted off—something just didn’t seem right about it. Later that night, my daughter ended up vomiting, which raises concerns about food and beverage quality. To top it all off, when we asked if we could place a takeout order, they outright refused.
Having worked as a chef, I understand the food industry well, but there was no reason for us to be rushed, given poor service, and left with concerns about food safety. Unfortunately, this was a disappointing experience from...
Read moreCustomer service was 3 stars because the first time that I ever came to Pho Mai was yesterday with my family. When my mom opens the door, the waitress told her to take a seat wherever she wants but there's an old lady who sits at one of the booths that near the restroom told the waitress "để nó ngồi bàn đằng kia." It's very disrespectful when that old lady called us "nó" which means "it". Don't think nobody knows Vietnamese like that. (The event was told by my mom. I was paying for the parking ticket and get there later.) If I heard those words, I would step right outside. I'm not trying to make any controversy here, but even the foods were fantastic but the customer service was bad then I would never come back to the place.
The food was 2 stars because since it was named "Pho Mai" so we wanted to try pho but the broth was tasteful and all I can smell is the cinnamon and it tastes like it was just seasoning with salt. The noodles and meats were a bit hard. Overall, the environment of the restaurant was great, especially the pictures of Vietnam that hang...
