After being approved for medical cannabis, I initially went to Leafline Labs (LLL), because between the 2 state-licensed providers, they were the less overwhelming as they only sell 3 formulations compared to Minnesota Medical Solution's 9. After a few weeks, though,I wasn'tg relief of my symptoms and decided to try Minnesota Medical Solutions (MMS). Of the two, I felt like MMS was more thorough in listening to my concerns and then recommending medicine, whereas it felt like the people at LLL basically made an argument as to why each of their meds would be appropriate and leaving it very open as to what and how much I purchased. The first pharmacist I met with at MMS, Tom, was great. You can tell he has a great depth of knowledge and genuinely wants to help. They also treated me with respect and dignity. However, I went back for a follow-up consultation this week, and it wasn't the great experience the first time was. The pharmacist I spoke with made me feel judged when I asked about trying a different product. It almost felt like she thought I was drug-seeking, which, yes, okay, technically that's all their patients do, but she asked me the same questions multiple times, even when my caregiver chimed in to confirm what was going on. It was clear that this particular pharmacist isn't particularly well-versed in my specific condition, which is understandable, but in trying to explain to her how it affects me, she sounded almost skeptical, which as a patient is extremely frustrating. I've gone through YEARS of invasive tests to finally have arrived at this point; I don't care about getting high, I just want my symptoms to abate.
When the pharmacist was done, she had me approach a check out window so that she could verify she entered the order correctly. The receptionist was training new individuals and very bluntly told the pharmacist, in front of me, that she "didn't have time" to fix it and needed the pharmacist to redo it. That seemed extremely unprofessional; it's not the respectful conduct between colleagues one expects.
I was told to take a seat while the order was packed. When they called my name, I went up to the counter to pay. The new cashier was pleasant but a little confused. No big deal, except the cashier who told the pharmacist she was too busy to help was watching the new girl. The girl realized she needed some cash from the cashier to her left. She stepped approximately 5 inches away from her partially open drawer, which was behind a counter, to take the money, and the training manager felt the need to tell her quite loudly not to ever step away from her drawer because "they" (my partner and I were the only ones at checkout) could lean over and grab her cash. Again, it's a valid, important lesson, but it was handled poorly. Tell her that once your customer walks away.
I'm generally happy, but please be cognizant of how you treat your patients. Many of us already feel uncomfortable going against a childhood of the D.A.R.E program so having it implied we're going to steal is...
Read moreI mean where do you even start. Let's start with the exterior, there is literally piles of poop around the building, the sides, front and back of the building. There is garbage everywhere and bird poop that's been on the windows for months. But don't worry it gets worse as you go further into the building. When you walk in you are met with an entry way with more dust caked on the wall then a remodel on a building from the 40s. The building has no cleaning services which is apparent. According to Christine the manager they are responsible to clean the facility which rarely if ever gets done clearly by the appearance of the facility. I don't know who does the merchandising but it would appear a 5 year old was left in charge of the display cases. Poorly presented product that never gets updated. Let's get back to the free parking, they offer free parking yet the employees take up at least 50% to 60% of the parking lot. That's not putting your customers first. Everyone double parks and or parks in handicap with no handicap sticker or just parks in the no parking area. When brought to the manager and lead pharmacists attention they simply just don't care. Now lets talk about the product, overpriced dried out mids. The packs never come at the weight advertised usually much lower due to the extreme drying of the buds. After talking to someone at the grow house and doing a tour you can clearly see the building is not state of the art. Making the highest quality medical cannabis is obviously not a top priority for green goods. Between the theft and poor growing conditions a grow house employee told me you are lucky to see and flower at all. Hence bringing in the 3rd party products. Between the missing products, seeds in the weed and overall dryness of all the flower this 1 star review is well earned. As far as the stores atmosphere if you can deal with disruptive and disorderly patients going through a mental breakdown or the non service dogs barking and no one doing anything or the patients getting high in the bathrooms or even in the waiting rooms or just stepping outside the doors and leaning on the building smoking this might be the place for you. And if you ever wondered why no one answers the phone that is because they are on there personal phones not paying attention. And if you see an employee out in there vehicle best believe they are getting...
