When I arrived at my appointment my technician was not aware that I had booked a prenatal massage as apart of the couple massage for my husband and I, and I had to tell her I was pregnant prior to starting my massage. The massage tech had me laying flat on my back for over half of my massage, which you are not supposed to do when you are half way along. Then she briefly massaged my back and had me lay on my side, even though the website for the prenatal states there is a pillow system for the prenatal massage that allows you to lay on your stomach. The massage tech mainly focused on my arms and legs, going over the same area 4 times, even though the main problem spots in pregnancy are your neck, shoulders, and back. The 4th time my tech started massaging my legs I asked if it would possible to lay on my stomach to have more time on my back and shoulders. My tech stated her instructor told her to have her clients sit up and lien against a pillow which not comfortable due the pressure that puts on your lower abdomen, however she gave me one pillow to lie on, on my stomach. I donât believe this was the pillow system the website was speaking of since it was very uncomfortable. While laying on my stomach the tech gave me the most painful back massage I have ever received, going in with super jerky, rough, and hard motions. Never once asking if the pressure was okay. Luckily the massage time was almost over and it only lasted a few minutes. I am unsure if this tech has ever done a prenatal massage before and is a newer tech, which she could have just not been trained properly to do a prenatal since she wasnât aware it was supposed to be a prenatal prior to the appointment. My husbandâs tech asked him his problem areas prior to the massage and asked several times how the pressure was, which is my normal experience with a massage. I left in way more pain than I came in with due to the super rough back massage at the end. Lontis, please make sure your techs are properly trained on a prenatal massage prior to booking appointments and ensure they know the massage is a prenatal massage. Pregnancy is hard enough on your body, women do not need a painful massage to exaggerate the discomfort they are already in. I did give two stars because my husbandâs massage therapist was really good. You are probably safe to have a normal massage here, but I would stay away from the...
Read moreOverall: great experience. I would go back for certain services. All the employees were super friendly and nice.
I did the All Day Package.
Signature Mani/Pedi: 3 stars. technician was very friendly and personable, however the finish on the gel (up charge from package) is not great. I think she forgot the top coat and when she tried to wipe it off it smudged but she didnât fix it before doing the top coat âagainâ. Half the nails donât have polish all the way to the edge of the nail. Some of my cuticles have been painted over. Overall just not a great finish.
60 min signature Massage: 5 stars. I had Ruth and she was AMAZING. Would definitely go back to her!
60 min signature facial: 4 stars. I had Ally, she was so knowledge and friendly. A little chatty, but over all great finish and my skin looks amazing. I added derma-planing ($45). It cost more than I normally pay for the service at my regular spot, but Ally included the neck area and really did a perfect job scraping it all off, so Iâm not surprised by the cost.
Body scrub: 4 stars. This was my first experience with a body scrub. It felt so good and I would definitely do it again!
Dermatological kit: retails for $40 and is a sample kit of the products used in the facial.
Spa Lunch: 3 stars. It was a premise salad from target with a role. Nothing crazy....
Read moreI literally just left this establishment and this spa has the set of the most unprofessional staff I have ever met. For my birthday, my boyfriend scheduled us to have a 90 minute couple massages and at the time of the appointment the receptionist informs us that we are unable to have a couples massage but only 30 minutes massage back to back due to the fact that one of there massage therapist called in sick early this morning for the scheduled shift. Then when she was asked why we werenât notified prior to our scheduled appointment so we could have at least rescheduled the requested service she stated that she was too busy and didnât have the time to give us a call. She then proceeded to tell us the cost of the two 30 minute massages which wasnât option for us because we specifically requested female massage therapist for the appointment for me . After we left without receiving any of the services which we scheduled the manager follows up with us and she is extremely apologetic and respectful and turns out that she was a available to the complete the couples massage with the male therapist because she is trained massage therapist. This receptionist was extremely unprofessional and in need of further training. Due to this experience, I will not be recommending this spa to...
