Not here to gatekeep, but this gym is the best-kept secret in the Twin Cities.

It’s well-maintained, and if you’re a member, you get private access from 6 AM–10 PM. There’s easy side parking on Colfax Ave, and it’s super convenient if you live around Uptown and bike everywhere.

I’ve been doing group personal training with the owner, Ben, for about six months now, and I’m so grateful. I feel mentally and physically stronger than I ever have in my 35 years of life… and that’s saying something. Ben has mastered the Jedi mind trick of making workouts challenging but weirdly easy to accomplish. He’s somehow able to talk me out of thinking I’m weak while sneakily adding more weight like a ninja.

Somehow, I’ve been consistent with my fitness goals and attendance for the first time ever. That’s a miracle in my world!

The best part? This place is unpretentious. No pressure, no egos—just a semi-private gym with group training that actually fits into real life.

And if you’re a dog mom, small business owner, entrepreneur, or freelance worker bee, it’s paw-fect for co-working. Fur babies are welcome, so you can work, work out, and stay focused—all in one space. Very grounding atmosphere with lots of...

It’s already been three months since I became a member of The Wilderness Fitness and Coworking, and let me tell you, it has been nothing short of amazing!

From the moment I walked through their doors, I was blown away by the beautiful and inspiring atmosphere. The seamless blend of a top-notch fitness center and a productive coworking space creates an environment unlike any other. Whether I’m hitting the gym or focusing on work, I feel motivated and energized.

As a remote worker, finding the right coworking space was crucial for me, and The Wilderness has exceeded all my expectations. The dedicated workspaces are quiet, comfortable, and equipped with high-speed internet, allowing me to be at my most productive.

What truly sets The Wilderness apart is the sense of community they foster. In just three months, I’ve made wonderful connections with fellow members, creating a support system that extends beyond just fitness or work. It’s like being part of a big, happy family!

If you’re on the lookout for a fitness and coworking space that goes above and beyond, look no further than The Wilderness. Trust me, you won’t be...

I rented the event space at The Wilderness in October 2022 for my spooky vampire themed 30th birthday party, and was blown away by how perfect everything was! It was a great size for our group (~35 people), and had three distinct areas for activities and mingling. We used the main room for food (Wilderness allows outside catering/beverages!), karaoke, trivia and a photo backdrop. The speakeasy was mainly used to display and store drinks. The movie theater was absolutely the highlight of the night - we played spooky music video bingo, and everyone LOVED it! Technology was super easy to use, and I was able to stop by the day before my event to test my laptop, iPad, phone, etc. Ben & his team were quick to respond, accommodating and welcoming. The trickiest part of the venue is finding it (GPS routed a weird way, and the entrance is a little hidden), but I think that only adds to the speakeasy, hidden gem nature of this place. 10/10 would recommend hosting...

The Wilderness is a gem - in a world of co-working spaces that try to be everything to everyone, The Wilderness has a very particular vibe and culture that the owners foster and support. Forget the gym, amenities, price, free coffee, etc - every co-working space has that. What makes a great co-working space are great co-workers and culture. The Wilderness is a playful environment where you can get the work done you need to get done but you'll want to stick around for the activities and and people. It's the only co-working space I've been to where people actually come in early and stay late on a regular basis. It's the perfect place for solopreneurs.
