EXCELLENT PATIENT CARE & CUSTOMER SERVICE AT THIS LOCATION!!!

Please do yourself a favor and give this location a try for yourself. Do NOT miss out by believing these nameless, no detail negative reviews I have seen posted. Ask yourself, if service was so poor why didn’t they give details? Really really think about that? The best Doctors can’t please everyone isn’t that true?

I am an actual patient. My Dr. is Gita Kalantari. She has been such a blessing and mentor to me for many years now. Her colleagues were actually just raving about her to me at the Santa Ana clinic last Friday. She really IS the gold standard re: patient care, a true example to follow. Example. This past weekend I was able to see a relative who I have not seen in 18 year’s because of Dr. Kalantari. I was having sinus issues last week, Dr. Kalantari actively listened to me, we then had some dialogue about course of treatment and I received my medication same day. I was well by Saturday 9/18/21. Met up with my cousin on Sunday and made precious memories + pics. My Dr. has ALWAYS exceeded my expectations.

I am a Nurse and still, Dr. Kalantari was the difference between me getting the Covid 19 vaccine and not getting it. She never pushed me to get it, only provided her professional opinion. I got vaccinated. I trust my Dr. VERY much and I feel much safer having been vaccinated.

Dr. Kalantari is: Funny - She makes you feel very comfortable

Supportive - Her care, concern is written on her face. Even with her mask on, her eyes tell you she cares.

Thorough - She crosses t’s & dots i’s

An active listener - NEVER makes you feel like your input does not matter.

Very knowledgeable - I trust her because she knows her stuff, it’s second nature at this point.

STILL Explains medications, medical procedures and interventions even though I am a Nurse. This tells you that she follows proper protocol, meets the standard of care regardless of who you are.

THE STAFF At this location the staff members are super friendly and professional. Dr. Kalantari sets the bar high with re: to patient care, professionalism and ensuring patient expectations are met. I can name many wonderful staff members here because they are memorable for good reasons. Starting with the front desk staff members. Extremely welcoming! Have an issue? Simply ask to speak with a Supervisor or inform your Doctor. I’ve had zero instances of rude staff behavior.

RE: WAIT TIME Dr. Kalantari IS worth any delays. I live in Garden Grove but Dr. Kalantari is worth the drive. Delays happen on every job, including yours when you aim to do your best, true? So be fair. Beginning with my nursing school clinical rotation, I’ve observed and it’s almost a fact that the best Doctors often get delayed because they are actually providing excellent patient care to each patient. Every Doctor I have ever had, who meets my expectations has always had delays but were worth the wait. Why? I received the SAME excellent care which delayed them once it was my turn. Pick your battles. I’ll take the delay any day. Would you prefer your doctor cut you off mid sentence to save time? I think not. Right? Right! I leave this location happy and...

I have been going here for over 20 years now. Although people mistakenly think this is just an "abortion clinic", abortions are NOT an offered service at Mission Viejo Planned Parenthood. But instead they prevent many people from needing abortions by offering low cost and no cost birth control options!! They also accept medi-cal insurance. They also offer a wide array of services, which is another thing I don't think most people realize. They offer STD testing, can help with a UTI or yeast infection, they can freeze off warts or bumps, offer permanent sterilization, paps and breast exams and more. I prefer to come here over a regular gyno because they are open 7 days a week. Weekend appointments are so much more convenient. And they have early morning appts when most doctors are not seeing patients yet. If you need to get in before work. Another huge plus is they provide you with BC for the whole year. With standard doctors you have to get a prescription and refill every month and your insurance won't approve you to get your next pill pack early, which makes it impossible to use the pill to skip your periods, for people like myself who take the pill for PCOS and Endometriosis. I was just here again recently and saw Leila and Lindsay. They were patient, friendly, kind, caring, made me feel heard / understood. Everything you hope for from your doctor and assistant, that you maybe rarely find. If you haven't considered trying planned parenthood before, I highly recommend. Also I would just like to note that when I had a benign tumor growing in my upper inner thigh years ago, my primary doctor referred me to a dermatologist, and the dermatologist sent me back to my primary Dr. Nobody wanted to help me and I was in a lot of pain. I went to planned parenthood MV and they referred me over to their location in Orange, who did surgery for me and removed it. They were the only place who wanted to help me and I am so grateful. I do suggest always making an appointment because although they do take walk ins, the wait can be a while. I've used this office as well as other PP's in Oregon where I'm from, when I was a visitor here in OC I would use PP for any female emergencies or health concerns I had that couldn't wait to go back to OR for. I would stay in Sol Cal for 3 or more months each time, so I used their services well and often! I now live here in OC and have for 7 years, they are very nice staff and welcoming and do care no matter what your health concern/issue. As well as I always had a great experience with this office with having no health care coverage in this state. (State insurance in OR) they always had a program or type of health insurance through PP etc that would help me for the services I asked for, almost in full if not completely paying for all the visit and services I needed. They never asked questions about why, why not, or "donate something to our office then".....NO! They would encourage a donation of kindness and if I could not, it was simple and not awkward to politely say I couldn't but I usually did give something back to the office that helped me. They also do not keep record of contributing to them or not, and all the staff were always smiling at me! :) They always do the best job they can with appointment making, days and times and informing the patient of pertinent information pertaining specifically to the services they will receive that visit. So I always feel great showing up. The complaint everyone is giving in their reviews, I don't think is thought out very well, because doing one service per doctor's visit is to reduce the wait time and back up of appts throughout the day that the doctors and nurses have. Every female or any human being, needs as much time as needed with the staff when it comes to their health needs and Planned Parenthood provides that very well in my opinion!! :) thank you PP, keep up the great way you run...
