One of the lovely parks in the LoDa area. During some events there is even live music at the Gazebo. Speaking of the Gazebo, the bathrooms are just under it. So if you are need it's there. The fountain looks great since it's remodel a while back. There are plenty of spots to sit with the various benches around. Yet its the squirrels that make this park a go to spot. Hit up A&M Peanuts up the street, spend $5 on some popcorn and peanuts and come feed our fat little buddies. Some are super brave and will eat out of your hand. Or even jus jump on you and steal your lunch. Kids love the challenge of chasing them around the park. Which is a GREAT thing if you got an energetic kid. There are some great eateries and even a convenience store across the street. If you haven't been here. Go! Especially on the Market in the Park days.

We met Sunday at Bienville Square with Archbishop Rodi from the Cathederal of the Immaculate Conception for rosary procession to the Cathederal, Mass, and presentation of Christ the King medals to those Catholics who did the most volunteer work in their church. It was the first time that I was aware that such a medal existed and I have been a Catholic for 75 years. That tells me how little I am aware of what goes on in the church. We go to mass on Sunday and that is that. These volunteers help the church and clergy make things run smoothly so that we can attend mass without a flaw. Some volunteers came long distances to receive their medal, (Montgomery or Birmingham), while the recipitent from our local group (Gulf Shores) did not bother to show up.

The Best thing about this area is the scenery, the history around you and the squirrels that come straight up to you ,even on you and eat food from you! Downtown is just an all around fun place to visit and when you have free time to window shop! Every thing is in walking distance! And this square has Gorgeous scenes for photography, especially maybe engagements or even weddings and senior photography! You have to explore and have your own positive experience here! Super nice!

Anytime I visit Mobile I must tour this park and I also stop by the Peanut Shop for fresh hot roasted peanuts. They are sure to have something to satisfy any sweet tooth. Just sit in the park and enjoy your sweet treat. Be on the lookout for the resident Squirrels 🐿 because they love nuts too. You might even make a friend or two. It’s very safe so no worries.

Beautiful place to visit while in Mobile. There were families and other pets. Loved all the fat squirrels running around. The area looked well kept and there was minimal trash in the area. There are bathrooms located here, but they always seem to be locked for some reason. Nice little spot to sit and chat or read a book.

This is a very relaxing park. Although it’s not large, it is very comfortable and clean inside. The fountain is also beautiful, which I really like. Additionally, the squirrels here are so lively and cute!
