Sat down at the bar around midnight, no tables were available. The female bartender threw (yes quite literally) the menus at us and immediately walked off. (I've been a bartender for years, you NEVER do this!) Our friends decided to join us from a local bar we had left them at, so we decided to move from the bar before ordering anything. We were scoffed at and had the menus ripped from our hands. While seated at the table, our server was much more pleasant than the bartender (which I kept an eye on the seats at the bar, no one sat at the bar after us. Well other than the bartenders partner towards the end of the evening) So our new younger server seemed very nervous. We gave her our order and she came back with bad news, which is definitely not her fault. We changed our appetizers order, then she came back and told us the bad news again that none of the choices were available. We changed our order again to something that they actually had on hand. She went and placed the order and immediately came back and told us that it would be a minimum of 45 minutes for our appetizers. We all agreed to stay since we were told the food was good. The southwest egg rolls were okay, we never received our fried pickles (which looking over my receipt was never taken off our tab!) The tuna sandwich was pretty good. The chicken fingers were on the smaller side, about the size of a literal finger, not much to them, and the BBQ sauce was just plain wrong! It had something in it that actually made my throat itchy. Thank goodness I always have Benadryl on me. At the end of our meal, it was about 1:30am and our waitress informs us sadly that we must leave out the back door and that they have locked the front door. We oblige and start to head that way only to be met with a sign that said do not exit. While we were there, I also noticed that your staff was pushing people our and that we were the last set of people to ask for food. We had some friends try to order a to-go meal and they were declined at 12:30 am! This place closes at 2am, whomever the owner is I hope you know that you have some questionable staff that is costing you money! We will not...
Read moreSo i've been craving some good wings since being down in this area and i haven't found a spot that has a variety, or even quality wings. These mf's right here though... THESE MF'S RIGHT HERE THOUGH!
I did the 18 for $24, which is a pretty solid price for wings. I did the math, 1 wing for $1.33, that's huge right there. We got the Garlic Parm, Mango Habanero & Buffalo Dry Rub. They were amazing honestly. I can't stop thinking about them at this point and i can not wait till I come here for Saints Football season.
Next, the assortment of beers were pretty insane. I mean they had over 100+ beers ON TAP. Kind of disappointing how they were out of some of the ones i ordered, but what are you going to do? Even if they were out of 10 of them, you still have 90 more to try you know? Whatever.
For all the other food, the man n cheese was pretty solid, the Burgers in all honesty were not good at all. Kind of over cooked. Probably wouldn't come back for a burger ever, you can double that and give it to the next person. The wings are what i'm coming back for, and the beers.
Lastly, the vibe. We sat outside and they had a ton of outdoor seating. They had tables on the street guarded by a little wooden post. A little sketchy at first but i'm like 90% sure no-one will hit you. I got a chance to walk inside a few times. Typical bar, TV's displaying sports, people having a great time, and that picture of a broken door was inside the men's stall. Usually that would be a red flag, but i loved it here.
Also, the service was amazing. We had a waiter that i can't remember his name now, i should have gotten it. Black longer hair, and had a beachy voice. Great guy! I mean this guy was helpful, he told us everything about alot of the beers we wanted. He was bouncing back and forth between like 4 tables and always was on top of his game.
I would HIGHLY recommend coming here for some fun and drinks. I would SUPER HIGHLY recommend coming for wings too. Great place, i'm definitely...
Read moreWe ate here for lunch on a Sunday while we were visiting Mobile. We didn’t have to wait for a table and were able to sit down right away. They do have communal sitting if you aren’t with a group big enough to fill a table. We were super excited about the beer and wanted to order a flight but were told they don’t do those on weekends after we tried to order one. I feel like this should be posted somewhere on the menu. We tried to order several appetizers and they were out of a lot of them because it was Sunday and the waiter said they were consistently out of food after the weekend. I feel like if this is a big enough problem where your staff knows it’s every weekend then it could be addressed in the kitchen. We tried the Funkdified Fried Brie, the big pretzel, the Dirty Bird chicken sandwich, the chicken and waffle sandwich, the chili chili bang bang burger, and the seared tuna blt, also the fish and chips. All of our food came with sauces on the side and they were amazing. The ranch is the best I’ve had anywhere. The Slap Yo Mama sauce that comes with the Dirty Bird chicken sandwich was really good. The beer cheese for the pretzel was divine. That’s about as good as it got though. The food was all very just ok. I would not recommend the Mac and cheese. The beer selection was fabulous! If you are considering going here these are my tips: this is very much a “I’m drinking and need food at 1am” place. We tried to bring our kids and while it’s family friendly during the day it’s CRAMPED in there. It’s a bar so don’t think of it like a regular restaurant. I would love to go back if I ever just want a really...
