Ok, I don’t do this often, but this place is so not worth eating at. This food is mediocre at best. The “nachos” came out with NO cheese! I wish had a picture but I didn’t get a chance to take one. I simply asked the waitress for some more cheese and she said it would be an up charge. If you had seen the laughable amount of cheese on these you would realize my shock. So I asked for the manager to see if he would at least make it right...ummm...no. He said that is the amount of cheese allotted for the nachos and if I wanted more it would cost extra (keep in mind we had already paid extra for sour cream and salsa FOR NACHOS!). After that we asked that he just take them and we would just pay for our drinks and go. He said our food was ready and walked off never to be seen again. We then took our food to go, which I now regret. It was not good. Anyway, after getting back to the hotel I called to find out who the main person in charge was because I knew it couldn’t be the cowardly man that retreated back to the bar never to return again. Of course the bartender answered. He immediately hung up on me when I asked who his manager was...then when I called back he lied to me about who the manager was. Finally, I called the other location to report the incident since I knew “Tim” at the downtown location was not going to help me in any way. I was told that I would be receiving a call from the real manager tomorrow. Hopefully, I will. If you are ever in downtown Mobile, save your money and your time. So many better options. I highly recommend...

So just 9/15 we walked in had sitted ourselves and got cold stares from the manger right away of whom I watched the entire time watch us sit there for 1hr20 mins for food. the waiter SARA ignored us the whole time we were there and did not check on our order until we had sat there for 1hr. When I asked the manger would he discount our food for the long wait he replied the wait time is 30mins. I said I waited a hr for food he said we don’t give discounts so pretty much owell and didn’t come back to the table to even say anything else. The most generous thing I experienced at this restaurant was the manger holding the door while I walked which I’m sure he did based on the fact that he was ready for me to leave. Now normally I don’t use the race card but I’m sure this has a lot to do with it Becuz as I sat for a hr I took a survey on who was getting there’s I also took note on one of the waiters sniffing a drink sayin eww and taking the same drink to the customer, also the cook of whom ate fries off the order that was going out, should I add the employees walking in and out of the restroom with no wash of the hands I am very very disappointed I tried to give support but I had to be a anger black woman today!!! Oh yes and my hero burger was dry with no...

Heroes Downtown is a prime location for good food no matter what brings you to Downtown. Typical sports bar food and drinks, but there are some menu items that standout above the rest. The Nappie Award Winning Spinach and Crawfish Dip is beyond delicious. Creamy dip, served with warm pita bread that you could eat by itself and still be happy. Lots of menu options for everyone from burgers, wings and baskets. I will say, the recent chicken tender basket ordered was a bit overcooked - chicken was not juicy or tender, batter was also overly cooked and not very much on flavor. Seemed like it may have been re-heated and served, versus freshly cooked. Lots of great options for drinks from the bar - the Watermelon McGee is refreshing & great! The atmosphere is electric on game days, especially for SEC football games. Many TV's throughout the front dining area to watch a variety of sports. Sometimes can be difficult to get seating, especially for large parties. Outdoor dining could be easier if dining with many people. Always expect a wait anytime during Mardi Gras. Overall, a nice place to enjoy food, drinks and...

I went here with my mom while I was visiting her. My meal was perfect. The fish was absolutely perfectly hot when it came out. It had more fish than breading unlike some other places you go where you get mostly breading and very little fish. It was very filling. I didn't like how it cost 70 cents to get a ranch sauce for my fries. Most other places don't charge for stuff like that. My mom kept boasting about the shrimp basket, saying how big the shrimp are there. I'm not sure what happened, but when she ordered the shrimp basket the shrimp were EXTREMELY small. Nothing like what she told me about. She wasn't happy but didn't feel like talking to management about it. She didn't want to be a bother. The bill ended up being roughly $80 for the meal pictured, my little sister's wings and fries, my mom's shrimp basket, and the crab or crawfish dip which was really good. (I can't really recall which it was). I don't really know I'd say that price was worth it. Not the worst experience though which is why I'm not rating it lower.

My wife and I decided last minute to get something to eat downtown, and somewhere we haven't eaten in the past. So Heroes it was, and we were so pleased with everything. Christian, our waiter, was very nice, polite and very tentative. For starters, we both got a Caesar Salad which was refreshing. We split the Club sandwich and got the fries and beans as our sides. Sandwich was perfect, fries were hot and nicely cooked, and the beans, tasty. Everything was fresh tasting. They weren't busy probably since it was Labor Day weekend, but that was fine with us. Looking forward to trying their Hillcrest Road location since it is closer.

Stopped in Heroes for the first time in the mid afternoon. The place was pretty much empty as revealors readied themselves for the Mardi Gras parade. Service was good and the wait staff was friendly. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and okra. The okra and fries were so good it took five minutes for me to get started on the burger. With the accompaniment of a cold beer, the entire meal met my expectations. Post Script: I was offered and accepted a spoon full of my dining partners' red beans and rice. They were spectacular!
