We have been coming to Trader's World for a few years now and this weekend was such a disappointment. When we arrived to set up our space, about 20 minutes later another vendor asked us if we took his spot and that he reserved it for the whole month. (His helper told us that they were way down on the other end and he was confused) We told him no, but there was a reserved sign 2 spaces over. Later in the day he would pop in periodically just to be mean and hateful. We heard him speak to people so rudely we couldnt believe it. He wouldn't sell a bottle of deodorant or lotion to a lady because it wasn't priced, yet it was on his table. It was because the lady wasn't white. Towards the end of the day, the vendor came back and started yelling at his helper. He threw punches, he choked him, cussed at him and called him names. We saw him purposefully berate him for 2 days straight! He was one of the biggest bigots I think I have ever come acrossed in real life! I cannot believe he was allowed to treat his customers the way he did, let alone his helper! 🤬 I won't even write the words he called his customers.
My husband stepped in and told him to knock it off and to just leave. They had a few words and then he took off.
I called the office and they said they would send someone outside to address the problem. He was talked to apparently and you guys worked it out. We were told " We found a new spot for him".
That was your resolution?!! Why does he get to break the rules (which, btw were handed out to us in paper form for the first time)
ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!
Trader's World's own rules said they will not tolerate rudeness of any kind to customers, foul language or fighting.
The man should have gone to jail!!
He should not be allowed to be a Vendor in my opinion. Too bad you see his money as more of a value. I don't care if he paid for the whole month or not!
A lot of people saw his behavior including children! It was NOT handled well AT ALL!!
If this is the kind of vendors you stand behind, then it may not be the place for us!...
Read moreYou have to pay $2 for parking which is fine. Today went for the first time and I didnt realized that we needed cash and the lady in the parking booth was super nice and let us in either way! We of course went to the ATM and paid her back on the way out. Some (if not most) flea markets have nothing but complete junk not worth buying, but Traders world has some new things in there that are worth it. I bought a genuine leather purse and wallet from a vendor there and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Dont get me wrong, there are still booths inside and especially outside that have nothing but useless junk, but inside you can find some really cool things! I'm only rating it 4 out of 5 stars because I cannot believe the amount of people that are not wearing a mask! Some of the food handlers were not wearing mask either which was shocking to me and when you go in and get parking the first flyer they hand you says "mask required" in all caps and a through out the building, but it's clearly not an enforced rule. Besides that it's pretty fun to hang out and look around. I will certainly make the trip down there again soon!
Update I went there again recently, and the same thing as last time, found some cool thinks here and there and some junk, but just like last time people were not wearing masks and neither were some of the food vendors! it was way way waaaaay too packed in the isles and in some booths that I kept bumping into people I couldn't believe it. Also, I had food there for the first time, I had something basic like the chicken tenders and it tasted like it was fried in motor oil. I'm not even kidding. I recommend eating before you come in or bring your own lunch/snacks. I like making the trip down there and I enjoy myself but I recommend either coming in as soon as they open do you can avoid...
Read moreIf you're looking for a place where the deals are as wild as the treasures, look no further than Traders World! As a pest control professional, I’ve been to more flea markets than I can count, but this place? It's got everything. Literally everything. I was half expecting to see a guy selling “vintage” roaches and antique mothballs—it's that kind of place. But hey, no worries, no need to call in an exterminator here; the only pests are the ones in the bargain bins.
From quirky antiques to electronics that are definitely older than I am (but still work surprisingly well), Traders World is a treasure hunter’s paradise. You want a rocking chair, a comic book, and a pair of socks with your face on them? Done. Looking for rare vinyl records, vintage toys, or that elusive collection of garden gnomes? They've got it all. It's like the world’s greatest yard sale, except it’s all under one roof and there’s no need to haggle with someone’s grandma.
The variety is amazing. Need a new set of garden tools, a hand-carved wooden cat, and a 3-foot inflatable unicorn? Yeah, they’ve got that too. Traders World isn't just a place to shop; it’s an experience. It's a mix of chaos, charm, and deals so good, you'll be wondering if someone forgot to price-check the snacks. Just make sure you watch your step—you might trip over a vintage lamp or a surprisingly well-stocked booth of stuffed animals. But hey, if I can handle it as a pest control guy, you can too. Just don’t be surprised if you leave with a few more things than you planned for—and maybe an extra bottle of bug spray, just in case.
Highly...
