This store is put together very well. Being an individual that actually frequents different Ollie's stores all over the North East & Mid West I have to say this place is very nice and completely stocked up with everything you'd expect Ollie's to have. There are at least 25 stores I've been to in just the last month that are literally disgusting. Broken bags of fertilizer all over the isle's that's clearly been there for weeks or months, products misplaced all over the store, almost non existent staff, completely filthy bathrooms, the list goes on. This store is A1 in comparison. Prices are amazing on basically all products. I often buy my Hanes socks ($3.99 for 6), A-Shirts ($6.99 for 5) and T shirts ($7.99 for 4) but it's a coin flip on whether or not they'll have my size in at any given time (XL) as they only get this stuff in maybe weekly and usually have a bunch of small, medium and sometimes large/extra large. They're clothes that didn't pass inspection at Hanes so they get it at an extreme discount. There's nothing actually wrong with any of it so if you wanna pay about 40% less then retail price then this is the place to go. Great store, will...
Read moreIt was our first visit to this Ollie's location. The employees at this location are down right unfriendly and borderline rude. No hello, not a did you find everything, employees wouldn't break away from duties to help ANY customer. The best any customer got was a pointer finger pointing to the general direction of where am item MIGHT be. The store was messy at best and appeared as though it may have not been recovered in days. Aside from the associates puting tasking over customer needs, when we approached the register we were abruply and loudly told by the only cashier that was at the register who was four deep by the way that she was closed. A light was on at the next register, but nobody there to help. It took longer than 2 minutes before someone came to ring us up. When the cashier finally made it, you guessed it, no hello, no goodbye, would not even verbally tell me my total. I had to look at her POS screen to determine how much I owed Ollie. I'm disgusted, and I'm sure I won't be back. Thanks for a lousy...
Read moreI have been shopping at Ollie's for many years and I will continue to shop at the store in Glenshaw but the Monroeville store will never see another dime from me or any of my employees, neighbors, family or friends as I am making it my mission to spread the word about the "Karen" working there that was harassing my son about carrying a perfectly legal hunting knife in a sheath on his belt in the store. We have both carried knives for years in stores all over the country, nobody has ever complained about it. She said "it is making some of my customers feel uncomfortable, it's like carrying a gun" to which I said "that is also legal as Pennsylvania is an open carry state". She responded with "can't he conceal it" to which I said "no, that actually is illegal". I suspect the real problem is, we are some kind of brown person she couldn't identify and that made her nervous. We are Pacific Islanders a very small minority here in Pennsylvania, we seem to get prejudice...
