We were traveling to Pittsburgh from Virginia and were staying in Stanton for 1days trip. We looked for restaurants to Dine on Saturday and found Mintt Indian Cuisine. I look at the reviews to understand how everyone's opinions about the place. There were a lot of mixed reviews but took a chance and went to the restaurant.
When we entered the restaurant, the person(Venkata) at the register greeted us and seated us to the place of our choice. Firstly before saying anything, I don't know the reasons behind why the restaurant is very very understaffed in the front of the restaurant, but first impression are the best impression. The restaurant OWNER needs to take Notice as you are in the service Business, if you don't give the customer an outstanding service why will any customer give you business.
Now coming back to after being seated, we waited almost 15mins, no was attending us and we had to find the Venkata to order food. Venkata it's not your fault man, the responsibility of fault goes to the restaurant OWNER. The poor guy Venkata was talking on the phone doing take out orders, trying to attend to customers coming into the restaurant & take orders all at the same time alone by himself. There were already 6tables occupied when we came to the restaurant.
We mentioned that we are pure vegetarian and don't eat egg and told of our religious practices and asked for suggestions of what is best for our order. VENKATA suggested us what was best to order in appetizers and main course and we trusted his choice. We ordered 2 Veg Manchuria, 1 Paneer Tikka Sizzler for appetizers & for main course we ordered 1 Veg Hakka Noodles, 1 Paneer Frid Rice. His suggestion of food was good, thank you Venkata. We got our appetizers and they were good. After appetizers we had to waited 20mins and still no main course, we had to search and ask Venkata again as to what happened to our main course because we started feeling hungry again of waiting 20mins between appetizers and main course. We went to the restaurant at 8:50pm and the restaurant closes at 10pm. While we were waiting for the main course around 9:30pm, there were 20-30 that walked in and seated at multiple tables. We just felt bad for Venkata and the other person(who was cleaning tables for the most part and brining in food from the kitchen when the chef was ringing the bell multiple times indicating the food was ready). We got our food in around 45mins for just 3people at our table, just imagine what the poor fellas situation must have been for 20-30 customers coming in at kitchen closing time. We ate our food and left around 10:15pm, I can't even imagine what time the kitchen staff and front of the restaurant went home that day. Kudos to the staff working on Saturday night.
I gave 5 Stars for Service to Venkata, not for the Restaurant Owner. Venkata was a superstar who gave us service to the best of his ability, kiddos...

This might be my own experience or I have seen getting cops called on customers there. I barely post negative comments about food. But this should be posted because it’s the third time experiencing the problem. The Indian restaurant uses old food to server their customers. I usually order takeouts and it’s my third time getting old food and getting food poison out of it from mint.
Couple months ago, I dined in and ordered the famous Indian dish called Chola Bature and Masala Dosa. They served it with all privileges as a valued customer as they know me for taking regular take outs. The waiter came unusually checked on me how was the food, I said it’s okay. Later some one else from the kitchen came as they were knowing that I am getting old food and asked me how’s the food. I felt something was wrong the Sambar they served along with the Dosa. (It was my mistake that I didn’t tell them to take that Sambar from my table once I felt it was bad). The very next day I got sick. My stomach was upset for next couple of days. The current day, I ordered mint special chicken biriyani and usually takes 20 minutes as they say for the order to be ready. I placed the order and after 3 minutes my order was ready and the guy at the cashier counter told my order is ready because I’m their regular customer(which was a lie). I insisted to know the reason. He said someone cancelled the order for a mint special chicken Biriyani and that’s why it’s ready in 3 minutes. I had the food and today my stomach is like why do you feed me this rotten food once in a while.
THE OWNER/PARTNERS OF THE RESTAURANT IS READING THIS COMMENT, YOU MAKE SURE THAT WHATEVER PROFIT YOUR’E MAKING OUT OF THIS BUSINESS, YOU WILL NOT USE IT FOR YOUR HEALTH AND FOR YOUR FAMILY. IT IS NOT WORTHY TO FEED PEOPLE OLD FOOD AND EXPECT TO BE RICH FROM IT. FDA will be shutting you down soon.
And they saw this review here and asked me to take this down. As I was reluctant to do so, they said they will call cops on me. Not worth to support the business. Not so far to put a “closed”sign on your door. Disgusting business strategy in the area to make profit. Your time is...
Read moreAs I was passing through for work, I remembered the recommendation of a friend and his cousin about a favorite Indian restaurant they frequent when they are in town. Definitely, a hidden gem! I found it in an unassuming and nondescript part of the plaza where a huge PetSmart is located. Plenty of parking which was a Godsend in this area. Don’t let the outside fool you. From the service, to the utensils, plates, and champagne flutes used, it was definitely a fine dining experience with the warmth and humble service of the staff. First off, I usually don’t order appetizers or specialty drinks. However, this time, I had the Mango Lassi and the samosa chaat. Let me tell you! These by themselves, showed me the care and authenticity of this eatery. The mango lassi was served in a champagne flute with a straw. The drink wasn’t too sweet, too thick or thin. It went perfectly with the spices in my appetizer and complemented my entrées. The samosa chaat was to die for. Every bite was bursting with a bouquet of flavors that was delightful. How can I describe it? Perfect, flaky, light crispness of the samosa in tandem with the chickpeas surrounded in a glorious mix of fresh minty, chutney, tamarind, and yogurt goodness. I would like to note, also, that I had partaken of the appetizer after eating my entrées. Normally, eating an appetizer afterwards wouldn’t elicit such a reaction when most people are satiated from the main course. However, this one was amazing! Kudos to the owner and staff. They are very courteous, service-oriented and attentive to your needs. I will be back when I am in town. Thanks to my friend, D.P. and his cousin for the recommendation. By the way, my friend is Indian. So, I knew it would be great, if they were...
