Costco Wholesale in Montclair is an absolute treasure trove for those seeking quality products at unbeatable prices. As a members-only warehouse, it provides a unique shopping experience that is unparalleled in terms of variety, value, and customer service. Upon entering, you're greeted by a vast array of products that cater to nearly every need and desire. The bulk groceries section is particularly impressive, offering a wide range of pantry staples that are perfect for stocking up. It's a dream come true for large families or those who love to host gatherings, as the savings can be substantial compared to traditional grocery stores. The fresh produce section is another standout area. Costco sources high-quality fruits and vegetables, and they are always beautifully displayed and well-stocked. The prices are competitive, and the quality is consistently excellent. Beyond groceries, Costco offers a diverse selection of electronics, home goods, clothing, and more. The electronics section boasts an array of top-brand items like televisions, computers, and appliances, all at prices that are hard to beat. The home goods section is equally impressive, offering everything from furniture to kitchenware at prices that won't break the bank. One of the unique aspects of Costco is their Kirkland Signature brand. This private label offers high-quality products at even lower prices. From tasty snacks to everyday household items, the Kirkland Signature brand is a reliable choice for cost-conscious shoppers. The Montclair location also features a food court, ideal for a quick bite after your shopping expedition. Their famous pizza and hot dogs are customer favorites, offering great value for the price. The customer service at Costco is another highlight. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to ensure that every shopping experience is a pleasant one. Costco Wholesale in Montclair is more than just a store; it's an experience. The sheer variety and value of products, coupled with the excellent customer service, make it a must-visit for anyone looking to stretch their dollars. Whether you're stocking up on pantry staples, shopping for the latest electronics, or just looking to enjoy a delicious, affordable meal, Costco has you covered. So, if you're not already a member, it's time to consider joining the Costco family. The savings and benefits are well worth the annual membership fee. Happy shopping!

We have been shopping at this Costco for a long time now. Staff is typically friendly and helpful and the store is always fully stocked. However, there are some major concerns about the freshness and quality of their food. My husband came home from Costco yesterday and there were two major issues. The first is that he brought home the famous rotisserie chicken and it was RAW on the inside - huge issue. The second is that he bought a two pack of Dave's bread and it was long expired - 12/8/23 to be exact. So the bread is almost one month past expiration. The last item that was of concern was my carton of brown eggs. There was no date on the carton, so I decided to check if the eggs were good. I placed an egg in a full glass of water and it began to float - which means the eggs are old. Because of these issues, mostly because of a raw rotisserie chicken, I'm thinking of switching to Sam's.

We have a family and avbusiness and we rely on Costco for all the bathroom and break area supplies plus a bunch of home staples. The quality of their organic produce is great, even if there's not a huge selection all the time and there's always something new. But what I love best about Costco is that they hold the manufacturers of the products they accountable, meaning, they only sell stuff that works. And if it doesn't, or something breaks, they have a no hassle return policy on MOST products - and I've used it. I also like the membership check and the end of the year. They also after incredible vacation deals which saved us a LOT taking our whole family to Hawaii. There deals make membership worth The cost for us.

Disturbing Experience as a New Costco Member To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding an upsetting experience I had at your location today, shortly after 6:00 PM. As a new member to Costco, I was excited to shop and begin enjoying the membership. Unfortunately, today’s visit left me feeling disrespected, embarrassed, and profiled. Upon exiting, I was stopped and informed that my pack of toilet paper had not been scanned. I was surprised, as I naturally assume it is the cashier’s responsibility to ensure all items are properly marked. Rather than handling the situation with professionalism or a basic explanation, I was treated as though I were attempting to steal. I was escorted to a nearby register to pay, which I had no problem doing—mistakes happen. What was deeply frustrating, however, was that I was not allowed to bring my cart with me, despite the fact that I was walking along the exit path, nowhere near any merchandise. This left my items unattended and vulnerable to being taken by others. The tone, lack of explanation, and cold treatment made me feel criminalized for a cashier’s oversight. The older woman assisting was unnecessarily rude and dismissive and then involved a manager without even attempting to communicate respectfully. Again, I understand store protocols, but the delivery matters—and I was treated with zero courtesy or benefit of the doubt. As a young Hispanic woman, I can’t help but feel that I was profiled. If I had any intent to steal, logic would say I’d use self-checkout, not walk straight through a staffed line. Instead, I was met with distrust and hostility. Costco is known for its customer service, which makes this experience all the more disappointing. I expected better, especially as a paying member. What could have been a small, fixable mistake turned into a humiliating ordeal because of the way your staff chose to handle it. This experience warrants serious reflection and review. It has made me question whether I made the right decision...

I love Costco. I have been to many different Costco locations. MANY. I go alll the time. Ive even been to Costco in ICELAND :). Out of all the Costcos i have been to, I have to say this one located on Central Ave in montclair is the WORST one. Their inventory sucks. They never have what all the other Costcos carry. Like all the beers, liquors, blankets, household items, even FRUIT. They barely have any fruit here, its just annoying. Terrible service. Just terrible. Cashiers ALWAYS have an attitude here. And ive gotten this reply MULTIPLE times, "if you have a problem you can speak to our general manager. Our location runs differently so you can speak to her." It makes me think, she must think she owns the company. Shes really soiling Costco for these poor people who never go to any other location but this one!! Since im such a Costco fanatic, I always make sure to lay everything out in my basket - barcodes up. Im usually THANKED by associates when I go and theyre soo nice to me. At this location - they reprimand me. As a customer! They reprimand ME! Like wthec?! I just tried to help you! "Anything that can be carried with two hands needs to go on the belt. Its how we do it at this location. Our general manager BLAHBLAHBLAH." Ohmygod! Its also pretty small. Its crowded alll the time, i feel like theres not much ppl here, its just more crowded cuz its small? Nd the parking lot is tiny too. If theres another Costco around thats a liiittle further, just. Go. There. Lol

I only come to this location to take back things and get a refund. Lol. Just because its closest to me and I dislike their...
