Monterey Beach Station — Attraction in Monterey

Where do you take a couple hundred people from Silicon Valley for a daytime department celebration? To the beach of course! Our team works hard- and then they were ready to P L A Y hard! The Beach House Monterey was the perfect location. Wonderful food, great staff, and so ideal because they are literally right on the beach! They not only supplied a Party Magnet-Master of Ceremonies, Energy-generating Emcee Extraordinaire; Beachcomber Kelly! He was the ideal entertainer for our full day event!

The Beach House planner Victoria helped me locate local vendors, for things like Henna painting, Bollywood dancing, etc. Kelly met with me ahead of time and connected me with Monterey Bay Kayak's who fitted us with over 75 Kayak and Paddleboard rentals- All making this a perfect party!

Thank you owners David, Brenda,- you not only supplied a great venue (to offer a well deserved break for the brilliant employees)- but you were there at the event making sure it went off without a hitch!

*Note- I would have given a full five stars but was told by staff- that there WAS a public beach shower near the wharf for our folks to wash off, after playing in the ocean that day. This information was inaccurate- there was no place to shower anywhere near this public beach. (I personally spent time looking for it that morning.) I would have brought solar shower bags for this purpose- had i not trusted their guidance. But one strike-out in no way impacted the overall fun we had yesterday- the team was just a little extra salty- hummmm next time we will have to have margarita's with that!

*COVID-19 Review * First off, if you’re considering this venue. Don’t think anymore. Just do it. People literally travel across the countryside get married at a beach. This venue is definitely worth everything. Susan was amazing. Communication was top notch. She did everything she could with the current situations (COVID) and made it a breeze. We could not have been happier. After everything was said and done, it was worth more than what we paid. The staff the night of the wedding was amazing. Susan was always there when we needed her and exceeded at every detail of the event. And now for the food. We were going to do a dinner reception at the Sardine Factory in Monterey but decided not to due to budget and restrictions from the restaurant. We did eat dinner there the month prior but we were so happy to have everything done at the Beach House. The food exceeded our expectations. We later found out that they started in catering before being a venue. And it all made sense. Picture having a small group of your closest family and friends having a wedding on the beach as the sun is setting, then eating a wonderful dinner outside with all of them (6ft apart of course), enjoying the night with some adult beverages. Tried to book this venue for my micro wedding. They have pricing for micro weddings and receptions available on their website, wedding wire, etc. Their sales person Susan reached out to me twice to ask if I received her package pricing and seemed gung-ho on booking my date. After go back and forth by email, we connected by phone where her tune was completely different. She laughed continuously during the call and told me, in a nutshell, my event was too far out (It's in June 2022), they weren't interested in booking a wedding and reception the size of mine next year and she didn't have the staff to cater it. I attempted to say have a great day and I was hung up on. I guess the people running this venue are only interested in booking weddings of a larger scale, even though my small wedding has a 35k budget.
