I attended recently in the National Security Affairs department. The cadre have little in the way of BS mandatory training, and the guest speakers are often excellent. The professors are professional, knowledgeable, and kind--except for Anne Baylouny; she's a wretched person who possesses none of those qualities. The librarians are thorough and helpful, except the one male who occasionally works the front desk; if one asks him a question, he reacts with a sigh and floor-gazing while giving you the briefest possible answer, which may or may not be helpful. Expect your PT to suffer, especially when writing your thesis. "The best laid plans of mice and men . . . ." If you own guns, look up the laws first. Many of your rifles may be illegal in CA. Also, the weather will rust them out if you're not attentive. The area is naturally saturated with neo-hippy socialists who make a ton of money. So, yeah. They suck. The school is still...
