Based on a few reviews that I read, I wasn't expecting much from the hotel. It is located not far from Highway 1 and is maybe 10 minutes from downtown Monterey and Cannery Row and close to the airport. I was pleasantly surprised starting at check-in as the clerk Michellie was very helpful and it was quick. Room 133 is a handicapped accessible room with a parking spot and ramp just outside the door. Inside, the room has a lot of space with simulated wood flooring, no carpeting so it can be slick if wearing socks. The king bed was very firm but comfortable. It had 4 pillows, which are small as you can see in the pictures. There is a small refrigerator in the corner with a microwave and coffee maker on top. The 39" tv is on top of the dresser and the desk is to the side. The bathroom is tile floored with a walk-in shower. The shower has a wall mounted bench and the shower wand is on an adjustable rail went at least 6-6" high as I'm 6-5 and had no problem. My wife sat on the bench to shower and lowered it to about 3 feet or so. Outside and across the parking lot was a vending area with the ice machine, a soda machine and a snack machine nearby a little courtyard. Coffee and water for tea is available in the lobby. Just up the lot from the courtyard was a bigger area where I saw a gas bbq along with tables if you want to grill your own dinner. Some reviewers mentioned plane noise from the nearby airport but we only heard maybe 3-5 over our two day visit and none were late night. Overall I was happy with the facility and would stay there again. If I had a complaint at all, it would be that they want to charge anywhere from $25-50 for checking in prior to 4pm. We arrived at about 3:30 and were able to get in quickly with no added fee. Check-out is 11am and if you want a later check-out, that can also cost you an additional $25. They'll send you a text link asking if you want a later Checkout time and if not, an estimate of when you will check out. Unusual, but it is what it is. We also had regular queen room 131 for my mother in law and she said it worked fine for her but she isn't one who complains about very much. In ending, during a visit to the Monterey Bay Area, for price and proximity, the Blu Pacific Hotel met our needs.

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, the first room we were given was really small & right behind the reception & we could hear them talking the walls were so thin, we decided to go out return around 21:00, have a bath & go to bed, unfortunately the bath water was brown, we told the receptionist who was actually lovely & very helpful & she said we could move to another room (why give us this tiny room behind reception when other rooms were empty ?) the next room was a better size, but the water was the same brown color. So we told the receptionist again & she moved us to another room after we had checked the bath, it was still not clear, but we didn’t really have a choice this late at night. We had a bath & went to bed which was really quite late after all the moving etc, once in bed we noticed the constant road noise, the paper thin door is badly fitted, so doesn’t stop any noise, so we hardly got any sleep. This is actually the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in, the receptionist said the management would contact me & offer some compensation for the awful inconvenience caused, but they never did, so I’ve left a bad review which I normally would never do. If you’re thinking of staying here, don’t it’s a $50 a night sleazy motel at best. Photos of the dirty bath water in two of the rooms.

This is a 2 stars hotel and I'll review as is. Comfort inn is a safe and nice place for low budget. Staffs are very kind and they do their best with what they have. WiFi is free and the speed is average slow but it does the job. Don't expect streaming but to go on Facebook or checking email it's fine. Breakfast is modest and not a lot of place to sit, but again it's better than other two stars hotel. The region is surrounded by an airport. You will hear airplanes up to 10pm and in the morning around 6-7am. If that can bother you than there is other place about 15min east. Rooms are not well isolated and even if the establishment behave a curfew at 10pm you can hear people talking at 11pm outside. Since the parking is right next to the rooms, drunk people don't care when they arrive. Each room has air conditioning and a heater. A small microwave and small locker is available as well as a frigerator.
