I gave this historical place a 5-star, simply because of the facts that if walls could speak it would tell you who exactly travel to and from that Depot. My family aboard the Am Trax from Montgomery to Cleveland, Ohio in 1964, very safe travelling. The conductor back then was a very confident conductor. The chef knew what he was good at, at that tender age, I knew I was riding pretty, lol.. Then comes 1978, my new person came into my life, all the way up the Floridian Coastal lines..awhhh🌹. Anyway, the conductor says, " I'm tired of this young man crying back down this coast, whatcha gonna do about this? Good ?? Well he traveled 2 more times, 3rd time was it!. We got married 1979, travelled backed to Montgomery AL for a visit, this time together on the Am Trax to Union Station,and boy ol' boy, did our conductor could tell the story of the crying boy who became a man travelling back and forth to see the girl who would become his wife, right here at Union Station@ Downtown Montgomery Alabama.
