This place was really like stepping back in TIME to the Andy Griffith Show of Mayberry North Carolina. The people there really are friendly. Lots of replics of the 1960s show. Take a ride in the old Ford Galaxy patrol car. Eat at the snappy lunch. Walk by the Earls theater when Andy Griffith went and watched movies while growing up in Mount Airy North Carolina. Take a walk through the Mayberry Antique Mall which is huge. Eat ice cream at Opies ice cream parlor and candy shop. So much to mention I can't even write it all down. Read moreTo say I enjoyed this place would be an understatement. The gifts in the gift shop part are just as interesting as some of the shops on main street. It appears the point was to keep the character of the store which they mastered. The People working there were sweet as well. This was also where people who wanted to tour the town in the police car like Andy Griffith drove left from the front of this store. This store was also by the sheriff department, court house, bus, high school and many other memorable locations from the show. Check out the old service station equipment and the gift shop for souvenirs and schedule a tour in Andy's black and white squad car'.
