Spoke to the owner via Facebook this past Thursday & made arrangements to buy flowers for my grandmothers grave and she was saving them for me . I let her know I lived an hour away so she was aware of this . Apparently at some point she lost power due to the hurricane which is totally understandable and I would’ve understood if I was told and would’ve planned to come another weekend . Not finding out after I was already in Pilot Mt at that point that she still had no power and I even went by the store and sat for about 20 mins and after no response back for awhile I left and bought some somewhere else . I made a review on fb and the owner wanted to argue back and forth along with a lady named Lisa Evans and making it seem like I’m the issue here . I will not be back and it’s so unprofessional! ** And then the fact that the owner and the Lisa girl want to say I never came by and then the Lisa girl send a gif saying happy dance saying she’s glad I won’t be back says it all . I would never even spend a $1 in that store .
Update : The owner has now blocked me on social media due to her being in the wrong and never being considerate of the fact that I drove an hour away just for her to be closed and what makes it even worse is that she had the time to post on social media saying she was closed due to no power yesterday apparently but failed to reach out to me personally to let me know not to come . Which I would’ve understood and would’ve have came at another time . The way this whole thing was handled was very low below standards and u hate that I even have to make a post like this as I’ve shopped in this store in the past . It’s ok to make mistakes and she couldn’t even admit that she made a mistake not even one apology instead she chose to argue with me and pass blame on me . She didn’t tell me she was closed via messenger until today when I asked when I was already almost there . I made first point of contact and she didn’t . Very unprofessional...

Using a debit/credit card is the way of the world anymore and instead of building those fees that come with these cards into their prices Mayberry Trading Post just passed the fees onto the consumer that is buying products in their store!! Yes, they are charging you to shop at their store!! It is illegal to charge over 4% on a convenience/surcharge and what do you know, Mayberry Trading Post is charging 3.99%. They should have to let every customer know (they apparently have it disclosed on the credit card machine but it must have been in small fine print)if using card and not cash they will be charged the 3.99% on the total. I suppose they have been in business long enough that they will not care that I will never be in there ever again, but the five and six hundred dollars I spent with them four and five times a year will be spent elsewhere.
