Unfortunately, when we were there, there were 7 of us that went to celebrate my birthday. Everything started out great. But after an hour, I had to call the waitress over to take our order. Although by then we did have a drink order and our appetizer. She didn’t seem to be attentive to where we were in our drinks, to when we were ready to order a main course. I absolutely positively cannot recommend eating any steak at this steakhouse. One of my guests that was with me had ordered a steak salad and asked well done and she had to send it back and it still came back undercooked. Myself I ordered a hamburger and it was raw in the middle of course didn’t eat it. The salmon was very dry and Not worth eating. On a positive note the drinks were good, but we did have to ask the lady to bring our water pitcher back three times and it never came back. And then we were very clear upfront that we were all going to be on a separate check and she said it doesn’t matter we’re gonna you know order by seat so it will be very easy to do. About an hour later she came back with checks for each of us and told us each that we had to tip $9.50 because the total amount for everybody divided by everybody was $9.50. This is unfair, tips are usually based on a percentage per check/person; if she had not have done that she probably would’ve gotten a way better tip than she did. The checks were all mixed up some orders were on another person‘s check half of your order was on this person‘s check and we told the waitress and she tried to fix it. Then the manager came over and was trying to calm the waitress down. There was a lot of back-and-forth and it took well over an hour and half of the party was frustrated and just left and the other half is standing there waiting for them to do something. You know one person had ordered a drink a bowl of soup and a salad and it came to $50. So we were there forever after we ate just trying to get the checks right and they still weren’t right when we left. In the meantime, they had lost my husband’s American Express card during all of their commotion and it took a good half an hour to find it. I would recommend Frogtown chophouse if you’re looking for a good steak, or drive the extra 15 minutes and go to Longhorns or Texas roadhouse even their...
Read moreLet me start with the fact that I really wanted to like this restaurant. We were regulars at Baileys for years as we are at Smugglers. First thing I want to say is that the service was excellent. When we walked into the restaurant for an early dinner it was insanely hot. I am not even sure the A/C was on. Chef was leaning up against wall and two female employees were sitting at a high top table on their phones. Not that I really cared, but didn't think it was a good look for restaurant. After we were seated I went to ladies room - which was very new and nice and clean, but no soap or paper towels. I returned to table hoping the bread arrived, but it didn't, and it never did. Restaurant didn't have any bread among a few other items on menu. Ordered appetizer--smoked wings. The 6 wings were tiny and not smoked just coated in bbq sauce. We ordered chop sirloin which was actually a hamburger patty with cheese, onions and mushrooms and very little to no gravy on it and ordered a half a rack of ribs which were so old and dry I couldn't eat them. The baked potato was obviously old and reheated, brown and dry inside, again we couldn't eat it. Still hungry we ordered desert which was also old and dry and asked for an expresso which they didn't have.
Thank you to our waitress Danielle she was fantastic and apologetic. She was very fast with the drinks and refills. This was dinner time on a Friday and there was one other customer at a table in the room. I hope management reads my review and brings back the best chopped sirloin ever (when it was baileys) and the meaty juicy FRESH...
Read moreWhat a disappointment it was tonight taking my nephew here for dinner tonight. A few minutes after being seated I was hoping for some warm fresh bread but they didn’t have it. As I looked at the menu I noticed there were no mashed potatoes nor surf and turf as a main course hmmm to me those are all things a good steakhouse offers. I didn’t say anything and ended up ordering mozzarella logs for an app a filet mignon with smashed potatoes and broccoli for dinner and my nephew ordered a sirloin with smashed potatoes and broccoli as well. The mozzarella logs were far from cooked (the owner admitted it himself they should not look like that) our potatoes were old and our steaks were not cooked to temperature ordered, over seasoned with too much salt and horrible cuts of meat. I have never had a filet that had fat in it and my nephews steak was almost all fat. The owner did come over and apologize about the meal but did not comp our meal, instead he offered us a free dessert. I told him I was a local and love to support local businesses and was hoping he would at least comp one of the two meals since it’s us locals who will keep them in business on the off seasons. The waitress was amazing and very accommodating and the owner was very nice and apologetic. I am hoping this was just an off day for them and my future visit will be a much better experience. We need a good steakhouse around here and I’m praying you guys listen to us locals and do a great business here. Get BREAD and make some mashed potatoes please, also surf and turf is where it’s at you guys are hurting yourselves by not offering...
