Went in on a Friday a little after 4pm. Dining area was not crowded at that time. Four adults and three 9 year old children. Had to specifically request the "regular" menu. No kids menu was offered in spite of three kids sitting at the table. Not sure what was happening during our visit, but the only items that came out simultaneously were three bowls of (lettuce) salad at the beginning of the meal. Every other item came out at separate times, and the poor kids waited the longest. Was told that they had no teriyaki dishes available (?) that day. Had a wrong item brought to our table and one of the appetizers was never brought and after the server was made aware of the fact, it was taken off the bill, and then brought to the table anyway after we had already finished eating. Wasteful in my opinion, especially when there is a note on the all-you-can-eat menu that they will charge additional for waste. Seemed to be very scattered and disorganized between multiple servers working on a table capable of 8 but only filled with 7 diners. 8 adults may prove to be very challenging for the staff. Food quality was OK. Many surprises when the bill arrived. Our group of seven requested separate checks (one parent and child, another parent and child, and two parents and child) A gratuity was added automatically to each check. This is not noted on the regular menu, only the all-you-can-eat menu (which we did not order from). The tip added was 19.2%, not 18% as was listed on the other menu. I regularly tip when dining out, but I just do not like being surprised and I'm not sure why many things are not consistently spelled out on all of the menus at the time of ordering. Very...
Read moreI've visited Mt. Palace 3 times now since they've opened and I cannot stop saying enough good things about them.
Firstly, from small to big parties, their dine-in service is phenomenal. The staff here are very attentive and wont let your glass be empty. They're also very well informed if you have questions(shoutout Jeffrey! You were awesome)!
Inside you'll find many different pieces of art and figurines of popular anime characters, including borderline statues of specific ones. For fans of anime, it's almost like a mini museum with the option of getting food!
Now as far as food quality, I can't stress enough how fresh/delicious everything was. They set a new bar for me with their House Special fried rice. Everything seems to be made-to-order and it certainly tastes that way! Their sushi is really good as well; even my folks tried it(they don't like sushi, but they tried! My mom enjoyed the Spicy Crab roll though)! Their house-made sauces are so good I wish they had bottles of it to sell.
I genuinely hope they keep up with their quality and that this venture stays successful. They're my new...
Read moreWent to dine in for AYCE. Took an almost 3 hr drive ( just one way ) to try this place. Was pretty disappointed. It was so cold in there, we couldn’t focus on anything else. The service was a little all over the place, with multiple servers trying to ask us to order more food even though someone else took are order mins before. The worst part for my experience, I order 2 items that took over 30 mins to get to me. I spoke to the manager, I believe the next in command and all the servers that kept bombarding our table asking to place more orders and told them I was waiting on the still two items. I was finally able to the one of the orders after 25 mins, but at that point we were ready to just leave. The rest of the food was very off, bland and not up to what I thought. When we got the bill and paid, as we were standing up to leave, that last order I was waiting for finally came. It was just a shame. I know this place is new, and I’m hoping that if I go one more time while I’m actually in this area, it’ll be a lot better and refined. But for my one and only time and experience, it...
