Rite Aid Pharmacy — Local services in Mount Pocono

My pharmacy was closed in Tobyhanna forcing me to go the the Mount Pocono facility. The cashier was very nice even though she was dealt a bad hand with the two pharmacists she has to work with. They were filling prescriptions and piling baskets on top of each other when one of the two could have helped and put the scripts in the bags. After I had gotten my prescriptions I went to the other window to suggest someone to help and was met with a snarky elitist attitude about how I’m counting pills so you can pick up your prescriptions. Right you’re counting pills not curing cancer. It’s not helping anyone if you are operating under complete chaos! The Tobyhanna location had everything under control. Slowest pharmacy ever! Your scripts could be called in by the doctor. You were just at around 9 a.m., but still won't be filled by 4 pm. You have to call and ask them if the script is there, and they will say, " Yes." Then you have to ask them to fill them. They will say, "Give us an hour." Like give me a break, I'm already sitting in the parking lot. I've learned to call them as soon as the doctors call in anything from now on. Believe me, it works! You can also have your routine meds due to be refilled, and you're on the automatic refill list. What a joke! Days can go by, and you will run out and have to call them to be refilled. The store itself is okay like any other drugstore however if you're going to use the pharmacy I would rethink it I've been with them for about 2 months and it's been a very difficult process,long wait times, unfriendliness. And if you call, you never get in touch with a pharmacist. In this case my prescription was short when I left the drugstore but it's been days of calling several times a day and you never get through to anyone. This has been the case since the very beginning. It's very frustrating and I never had this problem at the other rite aid they were very professional.
