Mount Vernon Carpet One Floor & Home — Attraction in Mount Vernon

We were given two recommendations for kitchen cabinets from our contractor for our new house. We talked with both, giving the same information to both. Cecil of Carpet One of Mt. Vernon gave us a plan according to the details that we provided, but improved upon them as well. He took our ideas and rearranged them to make it look good and fulfill all our requirements. Carpet One became our source for kitchen and bathroom cabinets as well as the source and installer for our countertops (granite for all). Carpet One also did our floors (a separate review) which allowed us to make sure that everything worked together. We worked with Cecil and are very pleased with both the process and results. He was extremely helpful and patient as we waffled back and forth over what we wanted. We asked many questions (by e-mail) and always had a quick response. He also found us a second countertop fabricator/installer after the first one ended up having more than a month delay. We love our cabinets and countertops. We recently re-carpeted our house, and went straight to Carpet One. Everyone was delightful to work with, the store is well laid out and pleasant, the prices seemed very reasonable, and the products are high quality. From the start, Tanya was very helpful, knowledgeable, patient, and clearly cared about understanding just what I wanted and what we would need from our carpet. She recommended I take the sample I was considering home to look at it in the lighting and surroundings where it would be. They were prompt in scheduling someone to measure and put together an estimate, and he was very pleasant and efficient and got all the details just right (I'm sorry I've forgotten his name). The installers, Pat and Cameron, were wonderful as well: punctual, courteous, and efficient. We thought the installation process was fascinating to watch too, especially by people with their expertise. Our experience with Mount Vernon Carpet One was exceptional. They not only helped us find a carpet that could be installed with no seams but they kept us well informed while the carpet was being made. Maintaining an open line of communication during a project was very important to us. Setting up the installation was timely, easy, and our installers (Sam & Alfredo) were very courteous, professional, and did an incredible job which included removing and replacing three doors and making sure we had the correct carpet and were happy with it before it was installed. There was not one flaw left anywhere when they were done. Our installers walked in the door at 3:00 PM and my wife and I had all the furniture back in our living room at 6:00 PM just like nothing had happened.
